Thanks for the post. That's why I cried, b/c my Mom of all people couldn't understand how I could support the ant-war protesters and still be supporting the war. I have a very republican family. Luckily I can't speak from experience, I've never had to live w/ out freedom of speech, but I still think it's one of the few truly great things we have in our country. That and the fact I can go to the grocery store at 4am and buy whatever I damn please!

the farmers market in hollywood is between sunset and hollywood (south-north) and cahuenga and vine (west-east). the center of the market is the intersection of ivar and selma. the stuff i get from there is VERY addictive so be careful! right now oro blanco grapefruit are in season.

Its productive, just time consuming. I'm just weary of the "food as lifestyle" thing. I'm not looking to make a statement, I just want fresh produce *and* American convenience food, but apparently you aren't allowed to by Coke and a decent piece of cheese or a tomato that tastes like anything at the same store. I just try to make a game of it and wait patiently for Trader Joe's and Whole Foods to stay open 24 hours.

I know what you mean about people not realizing the true meaning of St. Patrick's Day. All that beer dyed green with food dye and shite, bloody disgraceful. I bet you they're not putting dye in their beer over in Belfast or Dublin. 1) My favorite game as a child was talking to my imaginary friends. Not much has changed, now I just type things to my imaginary friends on the computer (like this).

3) I wasn't really hardcore into any particular clique. I had alot of different types of friends (again, not much has changed). I was the student body treasurer but I caused alotta trouble at the meetings for not taking it too seriously so I wasn't too popular with that group. I played basketball but I wasn't that good so I wasn't a real popular part of the team. I was one of the few kids at my school back then into punk rock but the punk kids didn't like me because I was the student body treasurer and on the b'ball team. Hmmm...I'm remembering all the reasons why I hated high school.
