Thanks for the post. That's why I cried, b/c my Mom of all people couldn't understand how I could support the ant-war protesters and still be supporting the war. I have a very republican family. Luckily I can't speak from experience, I've never had to live w/ out freedom of speech, but I still think it's one of the few truly great things we have in our country. That and the fact I can go to the grocery store at 4am and buy whatever I damn please!
I've been reading this guys stuff for the past couple days. the War Boy III: 99 Days (Afghanistan) part really gives you a good idea of how some people in the middle east live and it's not sugar coated like most of the crap we hear.

Ice cream and cleaning -- that's what I did today! It's a nice, peaceful way to spend a day. I always feel better when I'm organized (and full of ice cream).
