Belated MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

I got home from my granma's funeral ceremony yesterday.
Her family, I mean, the relatives gathered at her house, but I had to stay at the hotel alone, cos I didn't want anyone to look or stare at me. I knew that they'd be disappointed if they see how I'm looking like now. Also I was sure they'd ask my parents the...

I remember my own clash with Japanese culture in Hiroshima. In an attempt to be polite I thanked the girl serving me tea at breakfast and after that she kept hiding nearby looking at me and giggling till the manager exchanged her fr another waitor.
Later I asked our translator what I had done wrong only to learn that as a man and honored guest of the city I should not have taken any notice of a serving girl and that I was actually nice and polite to her could only mean that I wanted to get into her ants... blackeyed

I was told in Tokyo everything is less traditional and restricted. Do not blame your parents or your relatives. They are only resticted by time and culture. I always had a hard time with my Grandmother explaining my long hair. I often told her that she was simply to modern as a few hundred years ago long hair was the sign of the free man and worn witjh pride!

Happy New Year! Love the haircut....

Sorry about the not-understanding relatives. You'll be happy (or sad) to know that happens all over the world!

Actually, my granma was 91years old, and in these years, she was not as well as before, of course.
So all of my family feels so sad for our loss, but they are alright as well so far.

I don't come home in Tokyo...

My granma passed away yesterday.
I feel so empty and sad.
