Tonight I am waiting for a delivery of home made cookies from d23 and Alley, and watching my mom enjoy her new machine with almost 24 hours of nonstop Everquest 2. Perhaps geekery is genetic.

Spending Christmas Eve with mom, but not Christmas Day. We're not exchanging presents tomorrow, and I'll be spending the day with my friends while she drives off to see my aunt's family somewhere far to the north of here. It's a strange evening, and I expect tomorrow will be a stranger day.

I was going to write a post about what was wrong with House of Flying Daggers, but I just spent 30 minutes watching Torque and now it doesn't seem that bad. Sure, the storytelling was a little weak, and there was far too much sighing, but it was otherwise an entirely watchable film. It was gorgeous, and Ziyi Zhang is almost always fantastic to watch....

The last few days have been a heluva lot of fun. Saturday night was the annual xmas party in Orange, and last night I went to a "christmas" dinner in Hollywood. Tonight is Flying Margaritas with d23 and friends, and tomorrow night is Shalome's birhtday. That will make 5 nights in a row of parties. I think my head might asplode.
