Yeah, I usually stay in bed until I finally get to sleep ... it takes hours most of the time for me, too ... but last night the combination of being really hungry and the fact that it was Friday led me to make the 2:30am hoagie run.

I'll have to try the Benadryl thing. I just puttered around until about 6:30 and then crashed for a few hours.

How's everything with the babe? Is he packing on the pounds (ounces)? Strange to think that he's been around for a few weeks now and you still haven't even hit your due date!

I guess he just wanted to be fashionably early. smile

I've been pretty busy since my last journal entry here. The day after I wrote that entry I started going into labor and had my son Wolfgang the next afternoon. Yes, I was in labor for over 24 hours. I started on Saturday morning at 9.30 am on the 17th and had him on the 18th at 1.24 in the afternoon.

But its ok because...

I keep thinking that however I end up in the same situations constantly. I am almost 33 and this gets old and I do in fact find myself thinking more and more of the suicide option.

What exactly is a "dead end" job?

I was thinking about this today because I realized that many people would probably consider what I do a "dead end" job. Right now I work part time as a sales associate at an office supplies store. I like it. I am quite content there. I am not management so there is very little stress or pressure involved...

Most of my experience says, those that would call what you a dead end job eitther don't work themselves or are miserable with their lives. I know that American's define themselves by what they do to obtain money than anything else. I've met a bunch of this hallow people, they make my eyes bleed with boredom.
One also has to wonder, those that call these "Dead End Jobs" do they really have so much time on their hands that they worry about what others are doing?
Happiness is happiness and nothing is a univeral truth. Since most companies are run by Satan (The actual devil, not the George W's of the world) they do things at these so called "Non Dead End Jobs' or Careers that make it so not worth while: Working 900 hours, treating you like the third world help, mindless rules to keep you in line and when you start to become old and makign too much money: Ka Blamo, you're fired so some other rich while male can have another ivory backscratcher.
Unless you were a prostitute or drug user, I could care less what you do, as long as it made ya happy. I'd much rather be in the company of happy pleasant people with something to say, rather than boring sticks in the mud who only talk about how much money they make and their job this and job that. Snooze. Good night and good luck!
PS- Congrats on the baby boy!

agree with the blog, maybe it's better to say there is no such thing as a dead end job maybe just dead end people, satisfaction is the death of desire................

So not only am I eight months pregnant, but my wisdom teeth have decided to start growing in. My! am I in pain!! Its funny, because my wisdom teeth have never showed up on any dental x-rays before (granted the last one was over two years ago) but then when I was at the dentist last month they informed me that one of them on...

Do sets have themes anymore?

Not really. Yes, some of them are rather creative and tell a story, but 99% of them don't. So then why is the concept of a set "theme" stressed so much when it comes to rejected sets and hopefuls sets? Neither of the last three of the most current sets have a real theme. Just an interesting or vivid background,...

Agreed.

Take that writer's visualization, the flair for drama, and I think you'll develop a fine theme if you set your mind to it. Designing the props is the tricky part. Either way, I'm looking forward to your next go. Cheers,

Birmingham is like 10 hours from me at least. Unfortunately Florida is a DAMN large state. And I know what you mean, the last three sets I sent in were all rejected frown I almost feel like it's pointless to send it more at this point. Maybe I'm getting too old ;P

I miss you! I hope you're having a great time with the baby and all. I'm sure you look great!

I'd watch the show just to see how long that hair of his can grow without falling off. Seriously. It's amazing. I also am amused that every hollywood person that puts his or her foot in the old mouth heads right for larry king. It's like the nation's confessional.

That's a great picture! Glad to read you three are perking along!

I am excited.

Why you ask?

Because tomorrow dkmfc and I start our trip up north! My mom and my aunt are throwing me a baby shower, and since 99% of our families still live up north and 100% of my friends still reside there as well, it only made sense to have it well beyond the border of the Mason-Dixon Line. I can't wait...

i think it's a great name. it has a lot of character.

also, i just read your post in feminist group, and i just want to say that i agree with you. (i just don't ever post anything in there because i really can't stand most of the pseudo intellectual bitching.) but, yeah, you're 100% right.
frenesi:
honestly I don't like the name tongue it sounds too German for me!
... but if you and the father like it, that's it!

kids are cruel, yes they are...
and world is even more cruel, as we know...
as yourself I'm a mother-to-be, and I feel a big responsibility: I have to give to my son (or my daughter, I've chosen not to know the sex) all the possible tools and the self confidence to make him or her strong enough to survive to the cruel stupidity of this world.

if not for the name, they can pick him on for WHATEVER... your mother will understand it...
I think the most important thing is for Wolfgang Steven to have a family that loves him and helps him in the process of his growth, in unity.

Last night I had a dream in which Anthony Bourdain cooked me dinner. Something French. I remember feeling embarrassed because in it I was wearing the Font 242 shirt I had worn to bed. And I spilled something on it, but was able to cover it up. I may not have been wearing pants either, I'm not completely sure. It was almost date like atmosphere,...

Oh, I agree. Sadly the one with pinkeye is a lawyer with our firm so it's harder for her to take time off.

I've been using hand sanitizer like crazy though. Hopefully I'll avoid it!

Libraries are great places to spend time. I was sad because our trip yesterday had to be short frown

Your right. I tend to get in a little over my head after excessive time on the boards. I need to just focus on my regional group, and continue to build strong relationships through it. Kinda like an SG Mayor.

Speaking of building strong relationships, would you like to grab some more Thai food this or next week?

Its davey_phoenix's birthday today. Go wish him a happy birthday. Do it! Now!!

Yep. He was born on 9/11. He tells me that the only person who remembered his birthday six years ago was his mom.

Side note: I am sick of all the 9/11 specials on tv. I was sick of the last year too. And the year before. Do we have to...
