I have no doubt that the physics GRE is a fucking nightmare, but the problem with the math GRE one is this: there are a whole ton of different sections, most of them covering stuff I did in multivariate calculus my sophomore year. This was the same with the math junior qualifying exam, but that was 6 hours long and all the profs knew what they were asking us was retarded and we were already beyond it. Then there's the "misc" section on the math GRE, which covers number theory, combinatorics, real and some complex analysis, etc, you know, the stuff I've actually been learning in school, rather than all the crap you have to go through to get to the good stuff. So that's why I got in the 30th percentile the first time.

I swear that's why it is.

I can't win.
