I'm not feeling very funny today. Some ocasions you just can't make jokes or even talk about.

I've heard that The Chinese believe that when you are sad you desire heat on your lungs. It makes sense to me.

I need to let out my whining idiot dog, throw the cat and have a smoke.
apologees:
just dont smoke the cat, have the dog and throw the cigarette.
llona:
i desire heat on my lungs.

that, and essence of chicken.

I just recently saw the triplets bellevile. Didn't think it was that great. It was weird enough but it just really draged.

One movie I really want to see is "Good Bye Lenin" It looks funny as hell and I love communist/post communist era shit.

http://www.apple.com/trailers/sony/good_bye_lenin.html

I remember seeing this one documentary on China and it's transition to a free market economy. One of the...

Good Bye Lenin was great; you'll definitely love it.smile

Sorry we missed you this weekend.

apologees:
communism will work. only a matter of time. people in free market societies will learn their unhappiness, just give it another 300 years. there's only .01 % of the population that actually gets to live. eventually, common people will figure that out.

Having the bun at Pho 79 makes me want move to Vietnam and eat until I die. I just think that the Vietnamese are incapable of making food that does not rule. Everything I have eaten at various Phos rocks. What's up with every other Vietnamese restaurant being called Pho 98 or Pho 79 or Pho 88? Is it a chain that just doesn't have...

its the two first tenents of buddhism. they've rung true for me as of late, and so i'm seriously considering becoming a buddhist (trying to get back into reading--starting off with the sacred texts of them guys).

we suffer because we want, and then when we get what we want, we aren't satisfied. it makes sense to me. kierkegaard defined unhappiness as something like constantly looking on the past with wanting, in full knowledge that it will never be again. well, i guess that would be despair rather than unhappiness...

idunno much about the religion, but its weird because the facts i do know about it come from western philosophy classes where at the end of the semester i came to some conclusion, brought it up in class, and the professor says "yeah, and thats alot like what buddhists believe..." and so i've been reading all this stuff and been going through the head slapping stage where i'm all like "NO SHIT!!! i've been saying this forever!!!!!" but, of course, they've been saying it for thousands of years.

but, yeah, i'm a ways from living on a grain of rice for months.

3030v:
Ha! Did you really get a craving for bun? That stuff is crazy. I want some as soon as i get back from my trip. Yes, i'm planning it now.

Btw, i remember passing Pho #1 the other day. Dunno what's up with the names. Some crazy Vietnamese thing. I think the joke is it's their health inspection score.

I miss my first car...

It really came to fit me in an unintentional way. It was a black ford EXP. It looked Exactly like the 80's mustang - the shitiest ever made.

I just cant stress how reckless of a driver I was. After a number mild recks and near death experiences I realy felt a deep connection with that piece of shit. The...

Holy Crap! I feel so betrayed... But what should I expect some people you just can't trust. Even though I've heard a lot of bad things about them in the past I just didn't know it was this bad.

I'm a cheap ass so it came naturaly for me to champion the dollar menu. Nothing was more atractive than an entire lunch for two dollars....

Ha! That's what i get for reading too much into things. Well, i eat pretty healthy. I'm not always very intentional about it, but i find when i eat heathy i just feel better. I think you'd notice the same if you kicked the dollar menu.

I assume you don't cook, but leftovers is a great way to eat better. And i know you can make a sandwich, right?
cease:
stay away from fast food. eat salads, don't eat sugar or white bread. sammiches on wheat are good for you. mexican food is better for you than you think. french fries are tastey, but horrible for you, both in terms of glycemic index and fat content.

and most importantly -- do as I say, not as I do. biggrin

I love zee discothque. I love to get down. Friday night I snuck over to the SG girls night at Lennys and shook it to some 80's. I usually don't get into that but It's been so long I really needed to get out there. It's very therapeutic.

I'm noticing that I can bring my self to appreciate or even enjoy any genre of music....

It was so great to see you the other night!smile I agree with you about the therapeutic quality of dancing. All the girls told your woman how lucky she is that you like to! I'm not so sure about the polka and lederhosen, though.wink

I guess the type of music I really can't stand is country-pop or even most new country music. It's all twangy and cheesy.puke New Age is pretty bad, though; my brother got all of those "Pure Moods" cd's a while ago and we tease him mercilessly about it.biggrin

Polka is quite good. I've gotten down to it many times myself - must be the accordian.

Are you gonna get a perm now?

I really don't like 99.7 fm. They always say new rock first and then play some STP song from 1994. Assholes.

Laters biggrin

You know nothing to me is as relaxing as stepping out of an overly air conditioned corporate shit hole and takeing a short walk a blazeingly hot asphalt parking lot. It just bakes the hell out of you like standing with your face over the oven. Nice.

Of course my office is cold as shit. I some times have to breath on my hands so...
