I had thanksgiving with part of my family on the 20th. ladybelmont and I avoided her family all completely. We went and watch Harry Potter for thanksgiving instead.
In a combination of Friday night and tonight, I made over a hundred dollars in tips. Yay! Tonight was kind of fun- I actually had a normal section and had plenty of tables. It seems I'm out of training. Thank goodness!

Back when I was in college (jesus, it's been so long I don't even think they had electricity back then!), I was hungover one Saturday morning but managed to make my way to the couch. Flipped on the TV and I was too much of a mess to change channels so I watched the Smurfs. The episode was about a boy Smurf falling in love with a mermaid Smurf. At the end of the show, she had to go back in the water, leaving the boy heartbroken. At that point, the old wiseman Smurf said, "Better to have smurfed and lost than never to have smurfed at all."
I never laughed so hard in my life (which was most painful with the hangover I had going).
now i am making a can of soup that expired last january. better to eat it now than let it sit longer, i figure.

i dreamed I got a paycheck for $846. which is much more than i usually get... and since i remembered the number I played the daily number. I lost, of course.
