Here are some questions:

1. what websites/blogs/portals do you frequent the most? (other than here)
2. what community, if any, do you feel the most a part of? is it on the internet?
3. what's your favorite place to eat?
4. what's your favorite place to buy things?
5. what are some odd, non-sexual fantasies that you have?

UNICODE RAH.

Yeah I think Gimp 2.0 is really quite capable... I've found that you can pretty much follow the majority of Photoshop tutorials on the web -- it's just a matter of figuring out where equivalent commands lie in the menus.

I used to hang out in Freenix... but I haven't of late. I'll rejoin & see what's up.

Catch you later.

Now... where's the penguin smiley...

I had a weird dream last night.
I forget most of it but it involved being on a road near where I used to live with my mom.
I stopped in this bicycle rental type place. The idea was that for some reason I wanted to rent a bicycle during my lunch hour and ride around. I'd only need it for an hour. Even in...

Can you realize while you sleep and dream that you are dreaming and understand that what you see is a dream and not reality? If yyou do you might be able to jump into the spectral world. Anyway I'm back again biggrin
wink
trixel:
I get my dream memories mixed up with my real ones. At least I think I do. Sometimes I have trouble distinguishing between things I've thought, things I've done, and things I've dreamt. Oh, and add things I've tripped out on whilst chemical-ing to that list as well.

That dream has some pretty potent imagery. I like how you thought the trip wasn't worth the effort initially, and you end up going and experiencing something entirely novel and beautiful. There's a lesson I could take to in there.

Thank you for reading my journal and writing such thoughtful comments on it this morning. They really really helped me.

Enjoy the job search adventure. *HUG* smile

The last day of the year.... and what a year it was.

Disasters and shootings seem to happen near significant events in my life.
On the two business trips I made to Georgia and Dallas there were shootings right when I got there or right after.
When I flew back and forth from Japan back to US when I lived there there was the Kobe...

I did have chocolate milk last night... and thought of you... chocolate milk, one beer...and I was done.... the two didn't mix well.

I like the sounds of that work schedule. I'm not a huge proponent of full-time work. I think having a schedule that others set for you, kills you slowly. Bodies weren't made to be treated like that.

Happy new year, trickster ooo aaa !

In other news...
Well, I quit my job.

I kind of have mixed feelings about that. They offered me a leave of absence since my main reason given for wanting to leave was needing time off to deal with things...

for now I'm just unplugging the hard drive with linux on it, and plugging in the one with the operating system of evil.

I feel dirty. I did the windows update stuff and it made me click a dialog box saying 'always trust microsoft' puke puke puke

I'm sure you'll find something better for your next job-- or at least a new and different set of assholes to work with.

I just had a thought.
It's amazing how you'll never run out of days in your life time, and each day is the result of the decisions, the attitude that you take.
Hmmm... so am I stoned? No, not for years.
Am I trying to write a chapter in a self-help book? Nah..
No, It's just one of those kind of days.

First of all,...

Reads like the first pages of a novel. I love the idea of strip clubs, but the reality of them is hit and miss for me. Haven't been many times, but I've been enough to know it is hit, and miss. The MOST fun I had in one was when I went with a group of girls. God, one girl nearly molested me and it was all in good fun. There were enough bouncers there that it was safe for us all. It was in Vegas. Club Paradise.

...roadtrip? wink

I went to traffic court. When I got there I recognized the parking lot from a dream. It resembled where I was driving through a lot around a canyon perimeter.

The middle aged deputies are sitting in front of the metal detectors are hall monitors. I consider asking for directions on what to do, but then I realize he's not a member of the service...

I'm back in the hood now for the next year at least....

I stayed up late last night and took a big handful of various supplements right after a late night snack of a Jumbo Jack with fries.
Normally I can't stand Jack in the Box and most other fast food places in general,...

god, since i have been out here i have noticed my dependence on the american way... everything FAST. it's so bizarre how i find everything to be horribly inconvenient out here because i have to go a little out of the way or put a little extra effort into finding something, etc.. when i get home i am not going to eat fast food no matter what. I woke up at 6am to the sound of a thunderstorm.
It was a combination of cloudy stormy weather mixed with beams of sunlight from the sunrise.
Really wild.
If I wasn't dog-ass tired I'd stick around to watch it some more but I had only gotten to bed two hours earlier.

I'm contempolating changing jobs, or even just plain quitting the one I have...

I remember that clickity-clack day. Hell...if you can help it at all, don't leave that good job until you've got a decent nest-egg saved up...as opposed to a goose egg. (Meaning, don't do exactly as I did).

How is SD treating you, Bebe?
