I think there was a game in the World Cup a few years back...the Women's World Cup, that is...where a powerhouse team like the US or Germany beat up on some 3rd world country to the tune of something like 16-1.

I'd consider that a blow-out in any sport.

I went to the Arlington Arts Center again a week ago, and took some pics. I really need to get a digi-camdamnera. Aside from the various features, the disposable one I used seems to have been... pointed a bit crooked, and it fish-eyed bows the pics so every painting has concave frames... and uhh they do NOT. They have straight frames... so I have to...

It's always seemed like a good idea to visit Martha's Vineyard but the opportunity has never presented itself. Also it seems rather too posh for my comfort. I like the suit holding the baby. But that's probably because I am obsessed with babies. *sigh*

Thanks for the concern and well-wishes. smile Yeah, the doctor was a douche. I'm still hurting, but hoping I'll look pitiful enough to get sent home today...

Jeez, I just had a real scare.

I was watching the John Cleese segment of this new Monty Python retrospective 6-part show on PBS. It started off by saying John Cleese is dead, and I watched the rest of the show in really a bit of a down mood. Why hadn't the news, or internet news, or any of my online friends told me??...

1-- 7 things to do before skull
1) familiar with the real, true love thing? Yeah, that.
2) find a job where I feel passably human 80% of the time
3) experience all the okay-to-great artistic works on the earth
4) edinburgh; Reykjavik; Tokyo; Ireland; anywhere Bambi n Kikka are at
5) care less what jerks think while minimizing my own jerk-ness, which leads to

I have like FOUR pages of Bookmarks still to get to, but really want to go out and live my life and stuff on this Saturday morning that's rapidly becoming afternoon, so I will write to many of you later and write a real Journal that will include:

-the US won BRONZE in men's curling!!
-the somewhat haggered-ass figure skating long program night
-last night...

Actually, I wish I was in the Canadian curling team with 730A_Trixel_fem, Eddie, and Rosalyn.

These are the other teams I'd like to see:

2. German bobsleigh - Bambi and me

3. US ice dancing - tonignosis and me

4. US Olympic Gnip Gnop - Joscelyne and me

5. US Olympic Hungry Hungry Hippos - hippomonki and me

I should thank relevantswitch a bit more, I dunno, better than I did before, as he did a lot to help me car-shop... in fact, in the spirit of all the stuff I've been mailing people, I think I have something here he might like. (It's something that'll bother silvereve, but not too much, and it's not a Aqua Teen DVD although it's related...

Any time anyone mentions car shopping, I automatically think of Johnny Olson from the Price is Right saying..."A NEW CAR!!". Cracks me right up every damn time, too. biggrin

Bring your computer down here any time (other than this weekend) and I'll be happy to take a look at it for you. I'm sure I can get you back on the right track with a few hours of poking around on it.

2/19 non-update update below

Updating to say- there's no real update. I'm just in the processes of car-buying, something I've never done before, so I'm reading up on car models and car buying processes, terminology, bullcrap.... I'm also gonna talk to relevantswitch about the car sell biz, since he knows it well.
You might already know I'm planning a cross-country move, and that I'm unemployed,...

I'm in need of updating, but wow THREE pages of Bookmarks? I don't have much time, so I will give you bullet points.

Hafu- good hanging out... we said that already, right?

I should've mentioned a month ago, but the guy who claimed to be Mr. Time Travel on the web (if you've seen his stuff, you know who I mean) said there "was" a revolution in America in 2005. I'd like to point out that he is a liar liar liar, there "was no" revolution in America, people are as "politically apathetic and impotent" as they've...

DO THIS - Give me your fave mp3 sites, preferably those of bands/ players themselves or indie labels. Music-laden blogs are good too. Just basically any site where 1) there's mp3s, 2) I don't have to pay or register or log in or garbage like that, 3) I'm on dial and have no fancy FTP software or anything, so keep that in mind. If I...

I am feeling much better today. Thanks for the good wishes. I am pretty sure you have my number and you are free to send me yours. I like to leave silly messages and am pretty good at being wacky (just ask goatsgotohell). He thinks I am ready for the white jacket sometimes. surreal

You'll have to tell me a time/date you can meet up, so I can plan transportation accordingly. Mom likes to visit grandma on the weekends, so I'm not sure what time a car/ride from mom would be available. Shame on Ride On for not having weekend service on the closest bus route. :-/
