Today's weather was perfect. So me and my Tiger therapist spent 4 or so quality hours together. Country roads and the twisties along the Potomac and around South Mountain = :-)
Some of you may be aware that Monarch butterfly numbers have declined dramatically the past few years due to a number of issues including winter habitat loss in Mexico and decline in their host plant -milkweed- in the U.S. I planted a patch of wildflowers starting last year with more this Spring including milkweed, black-eyed Susans (Monday's photo), butterfly weed, purple cone flower, zinnias, etc....

This photo is of my dad, circa 1949. He's 18 years old, recently enlisted in the Navy. A year later he would be in the Korean War as a Naval Airman, radio and radar operator aboard a Lockheed Neptune P2V reconnaissance plane.

4 years ago my wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary with a trip to Peru. In remembrance of that trip I made Chicha Morada for the first time. Can't wait to chill this down and taste it! :-)

Saturday night in Brooklyn Bruce and the EStreet Band came out under purple spotlights and did this. It was an all time moment in music for me.
