These will handle any spill you spill on them.. Rubber mounted screen so it won't crack if you drop it, magnesium case so you can stand on it without cracking the screen, shock mounted hard drive, these things are fuckin' awesome. You can even get some of them with touchscreens if you keep looking. Although, even more awesome, these are totally waterproof and all of them have touch screens (trust me, you have to use a touchscreen laptop for a while before you can find out just how incredibly awesome they are.) Like, you can drop them in the pool while they're on kindo waterproof. You can put them in the dishwasher to clean them kindo water proof. I will never own a non-waterproof laptop again. Once you own one, neither will you.

Oh, by the way, when you look for a new laptop, do an ebay search for m200. The Toshiba Portege m200 is going for like barely $300 and they're plenty fast for chat and you can draw on the screen.
