YOU know what really irritates me?
What irritates me more than I can even describe is when I go into a place like a hardware store, auto parts store, or in the case today a lawnmower parts store, and get condescended to. Like I'll come in and ask for a throttle control thingy and the guy will look at me incredulously and say, "Are you...

Busy busy busy. I'm building a new deck in my back yard and landscaping it. I'm kind of on my own with it and I have a largeish yard. I did a faceplant into my oleander tree today while trying to trim it. I was up in it on a ladder and then put one foot over onto a branch to get a better angle...

Thank you so much for your advice on the chest pains. I'm going to go and get them checked out. They're excrutiating so I'm thinking it might need some tending to.
But you opened me up to different possibilities and ASAP, doctors appointment!
Also: Doing stuff yourself is so much more rewarding in the end. You'll finish the deck, lounge on it, and be able to say "fuck yeah, I built this". Good luck on more endeavors!

I keep seeing your posts around (including some in response to questions I've had) and I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate the things you say. Your comments are always articulate and seem well thought out. If I'm scrolling through an extremely long thread and see your picture - I'll stop and read what you have to say.
So even though we've never exchanged comments before - thanks for taking the time to offer your opinion on so much - I'm sure the original posters aren't the only ones who benefit from what you say.
And be careful with that oleander - they are poisonous. I'm hopefully going to start my yard work this afternoon. We've been in the house over a year now - it's about time I got some things planted around here.
Have a great day!

I have had so much going on with performances the last few weeks. I am sad about the show I was part of the 31st. A lot of things outside of our control happened which made the show really not what it should have been. We still finished it, but it was so depressing. The computer which plays the keyboards and has other audio was...

You are very pretty. You remind me of the chick on my avatar. When she's not all demonized.
I had a great time at the Tragic Black/System Syn/Noise Process concert. I handled hospitality and do hope the bands all felt taken care of and warmly welcomed.
I really am into Tragic Black. If you are someone who likes really gothy goth music and misses the Christian Death days these guys will make you feel all warm and nostalgic and like there is still...

hey, back in feb. you posted this strange article in the Girls Group about Aspirin being the possible cause of the flu pandemic in 1918... i wanted to send it to my mom, so i went back in the threads and found it for her. However, it seems to have no credibility in her eyes without a source or writer listed... do you have any info on where the article came from and exactly who wrote it?
thanks sweetie

My beautiful cat who I have had for 9 years had to be put to sleep tonight. Someone was careless with antifreeze and she got poisoned.
I am just devastated.

That's terrible! I had a friend who lost two dogs that way.
I take losing cats very hard. I hope you're doing ok.

Does everyone think about and ponder stuff as much as I do?
Seriously, I ponder everything. I have all kinds of theories about every possible thing you could think of.
Now if I had credibility in the right circles.......
Of course I know plenty of gurus and other fools out there with 0 credibility propagating their crazy notions as solid fact and complete lack of...

That thinking pondering thing... some call it the Gemini curse. Of course, that has never been proven. Anecdotal evidence only.

Dude, I read text books on chaos mathmatics and quantim theory. I ponder everything. It drives my wife crazy. I just can't look at something and take it for what it is. I have to think about what it was before and what it will be. Don't stress it. You're normal....um....like me.
I picked out a ring at a pawn store. Oh is it ever beautiful. An antique (because I LOVE antique rings and other antique jewelry, anything with a history) with 1 HUGE center stone with more sparkle than I have ever seen and 6 small sparkly friends to keep it company. And it fit me perfectly!
But alas, mad as I was about being told...

Just for full disclosure...not all geeks are inept tightwads :-) Although, my better half and I used to go shopping together...and buy each others gifts together. It made for a great day.
P.S. Rats...I was hoping "Pergo" was someone of whom I could be jelous :-)

geeks are trainable... well most anyway.... totally right about the price range thing... if I tell my girl to pick a gift - price doesn't matter. at all.
haven't seen your sets yet - but the habitat thing.... wow. you are beautiful. Sometimes it just takes a personality.

So what exactly is the point of a gift if I have to buy it for myself and get guilted about the cost when I pick the most expensive thing in the store? I think I'm worth $4000. Maybe in the future someone will think twice before expecting me to buy my own gift.

Curiousity required me to come back and ask, did you spend $4000 in any way to also teach him the old proverb it's the thought that counts?

As some people know in my mid 20's I developed a series of serious food allergies. I never knew even the symptoms of allergies like this until I wound up in the hospital and almost died. I have also noticed people around me and those in food service do not take food allergies as seriously as they need...

A message that is much appreciated. I lived with a dear friend who could go into a coma if exposed to too much sugar.
thankfully he is slowly recovering from his ailment, but I worried for him at all times.

sorry, i totally ranted in your journal, but these things PISS ME OFF!!
There are people amazed that I can sail my boat by myself.
One of my friends, (who is the sole owner of her boat), got what we call the "little miss" treatment when she brought her boat into the marina... She kept having men standing around watching her do work to her boat... and heard them talking about her... and offering to help, but in that nasty condescending way, where they make it clear that a "Little Miss" should do stuff like that, just go get us some food and beers...
Grrrrrr.....
