Since you're going to be down there, try City Diner. If you like breakfast food, it is in Metairie just outside New Orleans. The pancakes are huge and come with a family size breakfast. I live in Louisiana and plan on taking my girlfriend down there when I get home. Mardi Gras just started and even though the whole state does parades, some of the best ones are down there. Lol we are going to the kid friendly ones so I can see my buddy's son marching in a band.
