Did you know I can't swim? Sure, if I fell into the water I could probably survive for a while. And I can get across a pool in a lurching, frantic dog paddle. I just can't swim. People are sometimes shocked when they find out. I don't find it particularly shocking, just mildly distressing. This means I have never participated in events such as...

O% done, but I'm going to Vegas to increase my Xmas cash this week.
Ya knnowww, I taught beginning to competitive swimming lessons for nine years - I'd bet you I could have you swimming in 6 weeks. Of course, you could always use an aqua jogger and inflatable kiddie wings if that doesn't work out.

I could have helped with the pics in the journal thing too, but it looks like you already have good advice.
snottlebocket:

then right click on the pictures in your gallery to do that thing so it shows up in the journal.

I can not sleep due to stress. I am exhausted, physically and emotionally. I'm on the precipice of the flu. My mind won't stop spinning. My belly has been upset all day. I turn off the lights and close my eyes and all I can think about are bills and money woes. Part of me thinks I don't want to go to sleep because when...

I moved from TX to CA when I was five, but that was easy, because I was five. Then for college I moved to the bay area, but that was easy because I moved right into a dorm with many other people who were in a situation just like mine. Now, in a few weeks, I am going to move over 500 miles away from...

My best friend moved w/ her mom down to the dominican republic when she was 15. She hated it @ first and didn't know spanish that well. (to make a long story short) she ended up meeting a lot of really cool people and now she is married to a boy from the D.R.
So good things can definetly happen from moving-even when you don't know a single soul there.
Finally!
I have a place to live! YIPIEEE!
I am not going to be able to make the big move for a few weeks, but I'm DONE calling & looking & applying & all that crap! The deposit is paid, I have keys, I'm gonna be a southern CA resident soon. Scary! I'm so excited, the place is big and exactly what I wanted. Now...

Congratulations on the new place.
I've done a lot of things that can be considered regretable, but I truly believe sometimes it's those learning experiences that are exactly what we need.

Ok. Time for Questions Of The Day!
1. If a train leaves Boston going 70 miles/hour... would you have sex on that train?
2. How many children do you have/want, if any?
3. Do you live where it snows?
4. What is your favorite song at the moment?
5. Do you keep a diary/journal that is NOT on-line?
6. Who is your favorite Archive Girl?...

1. Probably not
2. If I have kids, then 4 max
3. Nope, no snow here. Ice on the grass sometimes though.
4. I've been pretty hooked on Gabriel & Dresden's Arcadia lately
5. I've tried, but I'm left-handed so I keep smearing the ink or pencil
6. As big a surprise as this may be, I joined this site for the journals, not the pictures.
7. Boot thrown at my head. I could try to dodge it (and might succeed)
8. $1,500.00
9. Mallory
10. Rita Hayworth

Yes, Morphy howls constantly. They both do (we have two Bengals). When they fight it sounds like lions are in the living room. I swear their meowing sounds more like an ear piercing:
"BrrroWr!"
