honey, I love that documentary.
My ex and I used to watch it and drink beers, just as a tribute to our beloved Venice. How I wish I could save her.
You look damn hot though in Guam. Nice outfit, hot body.
Meow.

I've noticed extended sea trips are strangely tiring as well. I think it's just your body equilibrium expending effort as it struggles with something it's not used to. Perhaps similar to how air travel is tiring despite the fact that it's a sedentary activity?
I'm jealous of your whale-watching. Amazing creatures. The ocean's largest, its deepest divers, and graceful in their own way.
Half-way on 3 books? Interesting. You don't plough through them sequentially? I do, but I read in a strange way. Imagine the book is divided up into 4 quarter sections. I read section 1, flip to the end and read 4, then 3 and finish with 2. This seems more natural somehow, and I tend to retain more, but who said my brain was normal.
I know what you mean about space. I probably spend too much time alone, but no matter what I need at least a few alone days each week.
Seafaring can be an intimate ordeal for sure. I've been in a nuclear submarine (not submerged), and I got pretty claustrophobic thinking about spending weeks or months in those sardine like quarters. Yikes.
Still though, I entertain notions of sailing the world's oceans; either by myself or with a companion. A friend of mine has a yacht transport business where he sails these multimillion dollar yachts from point A to point B so that their owners can enjoy their boats on vacation without having to risk the transoceanic crossing or waste time doing it. Then he sails it back to its home part. Pretty sweet.
I'd also like to try sea kayaking from California to Hawaii sometime too. I've had a recurring dream (vision really) about this for longer than I can remember.
Talk, talk, talk. I woke up at 1:30pm today, so I'm screwed as far as getting to bed at a reasonable hour anyway.
Later.

I have been sailing for the last 3 days
I am writing now from Roche Harbor where we just docked after spending the night anchored outside of Lopez Island.
Coming home in 2 more days, it's very beautiful out here. Miguel and I are with his parents on their sailboat. I'm learning to navigate, reading a lot and not

We're back home, it's 10:30pm. Man, it was hot
today!! The contest went well. We didn't win the
meat (bummer, but we didn't have any seasonings or
anything and just smoked with salt and pepper, so that
part of the competition was sorta doomed. Plus it was
way way to hot to stand by a grill all day today for
most of us. Justin ended...

That BBQ is tight! The metal work done on that BBQ is even tighter! When I lived in Seattle, I used to hang in Fremont from time to time. I met Eddie Vedder in this Thai Restraunt there too! That was cool, but, he looks taller in his pictures.
