As a photographer, I encourage you to never, never go alone to a photoshoot with a photographer you do not have a long term, personal and trusting relationship with. A legitimate photographer will not have a problem with you bringing a person (or two) with you. Nor, will they ever coerce you into doing something you are not comfortable with. Personally, I put the additional person to work. It is an extra set of eyes to see something, I may not have immediately caught while shooting. Stray hair across the face, twisted bra strap, slightly off centered thong, clothing tag showing, etc. Bottom line, if it doesn’t feel right, don’t do the shoot. Stay safe.

I have the same problem.. my miopia is pretty bad so magnifying mirrors don't really help. Also, they distort the image a bit and it makes me confused, the makeup always ends up looking weird. I'm considering contacts now, I hope it helps!
