You know, sometimes it's a rough wake up. It doesn't happen often for this guy, but when it does I seem to be guided to the coffee maker by Devine providence alone.

Then, oh then, when the coffee brews and Pandora spools up on the stereo, do I realize it is, in fact, all good. I know this because John, Paul, George, and Ringo hit...

Now you're talking about back in my day! As I recall, "Here comes the sun" was one of George Harrison's inspirations. Was it on the Abbey Road album? (we really did try to play it backward, at slow speed) I can't remember. I turned 59, yesterday.
yourimmortal:
@jacinto2 yup. It was abbey road. Sometimes going way back is a good thing!

Welcome home dude! Quick question: In your opinion, what is the percentage ratio between good & bad things in the world?

yourimmortal:
Thanks! Great question. I see it to be about 80-10-10. 80% of the things, people and actions associated are neither good nor bad. They simply exist within space and time. Most are completely unremarkable and wouldn't really make an impact one way or another. Then there's 10% bad things people, and actions. Those definitely have a negative impact on the things and people affected. Thankfully most of those people have no thought for the future other than of their own interest and as such have little lasting negative impact. That's primarily because of the 10% of inherently good people things and actions. The people spend their time doing good things and trying to undo the remarkable damage done by the others and in so doing may even tip the scale in favor of the good. In the end, I guess it can be a matter of perspective but I think this is pretty accurate as to my experiences.

Thank you for a thoughtful answer. I tend to think, a world, a few points from the middle, one way or the other, is livable.

Congrats brother. Well played. Amazing people always find each other.

yourimmortal:
Thank you, my good man! In all fairness I suspect fate or karma had more to do with it than I did as I find myself in constant awe of how lucky I am.

That's such a lovely offer! I'm floored by your generosity! You know we wouldn't be together now if it wasn't for SG so it's fantastically appropriate 😀 Keep Halloween open!
