I thought you all might like to know whats going on lately.

I'm currently blessed with the company of @fresa at roughly 45º N. She ran out to dip her toes in the lake and I snapped a mega zoom shot of what is such a simple pleasure it could be considered divine. It's one of a great many I've taken of...

yourimmortal:
Thanks, @oneofmany ! I just get lucky shots on a fairly consistent basis. This was one of those, "thank goodness it came out well," shots!

Thanks. I really appreciate that. It was the single toughest thing I've ever had to do. Hands down. Incidentally I'm still in the Corps. Going on twelve years in September. You?

Holy crap brother thank you so much for what you do. So sorry about your loss. No sir I am not a Marine nor am I a current or former member of any of the United States Armed Forces. I'm the first in my family since the War Between The States to not serve. I had a commission to attend the USAF Academy but backed out because I wanted to fly jets more than anything and I have shitty eyes and they were uncorrectable at the time. I went another route to however and that is all I can say sir. My great uncle was in the 6th Marines in WWII. He was the 17th man to put his boots on mainland Japan.. It's a good story...

To all my beautiful Canuck Friends: you guys are the greatest and I am absolutely thrilled to wish you well today! If you all want go ahead and show some pride on this blog so we know who you hosers are 😎

In the meantime enjoy a few of my favorite Canadian humor clips in celebration!

Cheers, eh!

Cheers my good sir & a Happy belated fourth to you my friend😃

I found myself in the presence of greatness yesterday. And not just because @fresa was with me.

I was treated by her to an up close and very personal look at the Saturn V Booster Assembly!!!

I nearly cried. That is NOT an exaggeration!

Wow, great photos! You're so lucky, I'd love to see a Saturn up close like that! I wouldn't blame you for crying - to be in the presence of something so great and important can be an emotional experience. I've had the luck to meet some of the guys that sat atop that crazy machine when it fired up and and listen to them talk of their experiences... it affected me very deeply. I still struggle to believe that I shook hands with people that actually walked on the Moon, it just doesn't seem real...
