Although there is slim chance that any of my new friends from suicidegirls.com will be in the vicinity of Louisville, KY, on the weekend of September 4-5th, I do want them to know, that if they are about, then there are, in fact, invited to my weekend birthday festivities. Such festivities, celebrating my 33rd, have been announced as follows;
1. Saturday the 4th (evening)- Figure 8-bus racing at the Speedway in Clarksville, IN (right across the bridge from Louisville). If you don't know what that is, let me spell it out for you. Demolition Derby + School buses. There will also be exceeding cheap beer, and very bad nachos. You can watch the crashes in the areana, or watch the humanity in the bleaches, Either way, its redneck heaven.
2. Sunday the 5th (day)- As I'm a very skilled tabletop GM, I will be running a tabletop rpg for friends, and providing pre-gens. Only for adventurous souls, as I'm not telling anyone what we're playing until the game begins. There may be a sub-game involving shots taken when your character gets hit. I haven't decided yet.
3. Sunday the 5th (evening)- Drinks at Outlook Inn, my favorite watering hole in Louisville, and the only dive bar that sells Guiness on tap, near as I can tell. I'll be there after the game, and will stay till closing at 4pm. It's a friendly get-together, designed for folks ot stop by and share stories and laughs with me as I lose coherency in frothy mugs of ale. Monday, the next day, just happens to be Labor Day. That means most of you won't have to work, and can sleep off your hangover in style.
In between all of these fabulous activities, I will be taking sips from one of my three flasks (given in past birthdays), shamelessly flirting with anything on two legs, and humorously harassing the public. If you cannot be there with me on that day, then please have a drink for moi, and be there in spirit.
