....Mutant Year Zero:RTE. Fun Tactical but a bit restictive to me. I doesn't help that I've watched the demo play-through. After an hour I stopped (I had to go for a blood test and buy a joystick). I played a couple of hours of X4 on Saturday trying to get the joystick to work without success (It tests fine but is non-responsive...

So I knew "X4: Foundations" was coming. I got it last night. I was informed that "Mutant Year Zero: Return to Eden" was released this morning. So my six games to play has become eight and I know that there's one more on its way in February which is really only two months away. I'm leaking Spare Time, thankfullness for Xmas Break!

Fun? Tiring? Last night we had the corporate christmas function. I woke up tired even though I was in bed only two hours later than usual. So, I'm thinking this may be a test of my resilience ;)

All hail the mighty storm! So last weekend was wet, this weekend was wet and yesterday was the official start of summer in NZ.

.... as you are leaving work to go home. In this particular case I had spent the afternoon looking at Autocad System Variables and writing something about the ones that I know people have had issues with - by the System Variable Name. Doesn't sound like a problem, right? :). I realised that I should name each section of this part of the tips by the problem...

That's how long it's been since the Manual came out of review. With all the revisions complete and a second review "passed", I released the CAD Manual to the company officially. I'm now working on a different manual for another application and will likely be also working on Tips and Tricks Manuals. I also have to arrange a CAD Manual Introduction training...

So the CAD Manual came out of review a week ago and I've been mostly editing example drawings since, as per the review. I also spent a couple of days revising the setup of the secondary CAD Package that we started using because I'd failed to make it work properly. It was a failure on my part since I'd only dabbled in...

So after the finishing the draft Cad Manual it went to review and is still in there. In the meantime I got assigned to look into Resource Tracking Programs and spent a couple of weeks banging my head against that brick wall :). Spent the last week working on a new Subdivision Design.

In gaming, I've obtained 3 new games in the last fortnight, "Titanquest...

So yesterday I finished the draft CAD Manual so of course today had a lot of meetings :D

Started cooking my standard diet again. Essentially I developed a particular "diet" that I can live with as a standard which is essentially healthy. Basically I make Lamb Stew and Bolognese to freeze in multiple single meal containers. They both have onion and mushrooms with the bolognese using capsicum and tomato and the stew using carrot and potato ple peas corn and string-beans. Probably sounds...

Yeah I was using the old "healthy" formula when I devised them, 4 servings of vegetables and 2 fruit per day. I understand they changed that to 5/3 but also the altered the amount that constitutes a serving from 100g to 80g. I am counting the tomato as vegetable and I eat an Apple, Mandarin and Banana in the mornings. It used to just be the Apple and Mandarin but I started getting night cramps so I added the Banana. As a standard formula it also keeps my food bills down :).

OK so the furniture arrived without problems. That afternoon I went to catch a bus to visit relatives. I was 50m from the stop when it came around the corner so I decided to run - downhill. That was a mistake as I lost my balance and went head over heels literally, abrading skin off my left elbow and the palm of my right hand. I...

For me a great week is one where I feel I've gotten things done. So this week I solved a programming logic issue which had me stumped last week. I finished writing the body of the Manual (Just need to draw the examples). I discovered a new functionality that I hadn't known about in Autocad. My furniture from my previous Australian residence which...

The previous week was quiet and last weekend (and this weekend) haven't been busy. However last week I managed to finish five Lisps and solve two issues with writing them, so it felt very satisfying. I need to push the management role aspects now though I think since the technical writing aspects are mostly complete. Plenty of work to do on them but it...
