I felt a little guilty for only writing documentation and not doing any paying work but sometimes that's what happens. I got a NZ Tax number but forgot to do something about a doctors consultation and I have an appointment to see a Doctor on Tuesday. Spent several hours on Saturday looking for a decent sized mostly unbranded black backpack to go to work...

So it's been an interesting week. The things I should have done at the start of the week; Find a new personal GP, Obtain a IRD number. On Tuesday night a storm with Hurricane Level two winds struck and left my aunts residence without power for close to a day. The power outage put me in the position of being without an easy way...

So the week has been a long stressful one trying to herd the cats of housemate and landlords. It culminated in massive drama getting my housemate out of the house. Fortunately I'm sitting ar the airport ready to fly home permanently. Huzzah!

... of the relocation process. Finished actual work. Sold the car. Need to pack the active gear and contact the last services then Tuesday everything I own except for suitcased gear goes away.

.... I have packed almost everything and separated them into "relocating" and "storing" with the exception of the bedclothes and primary desktop computer. I still have 3 50L containers and 2 20L Containers. The Bedroom and Computer Room seem almost empty. I still have to notate and seal the boxes, mind you.

I think I'm about 99% packed. Certainly, it's gotten much harder to pack items, fortunately I'm at the point where I need to pack clothes so I can fill the awkward spots in boxes with shirts etc.

I went and had my last night out, to a club night, last night. I saw a small number of people I know but none...

It is my opinion that the most dangerous attitude in the world is to believe that you are "Normal" and "Average". It is almost as dangerous as the belief that you are "Special" and far more widespread and subversive.

Many of our politicians think they are both "normal" ("just an average shmoe") and "special" ("privileged leader of the community"). You can see it colour their...

.... :) Once it became available I ordered "Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale" which arrived today. I watched it and enjoyed it though still not as much as I enjoyed the Aincrad section of the first season or the Mothers Rosario section of the second season. I think it's because, like SAO between the Aincrad and Mothers Rosario Arcs, it concentrates a lot, or too much...

.... March starts to introduce nights of 27°C (80°F). It's my understanding that this will become the norm in the Australian future. In the meantime I have packed a lot of things but I'm up to the point where I need to look at packing "active use" items and have to decide how to do it. I can buy disposable plastic cups...

Yesterday I put in my resignation to the CEO of the company I work for. I can finally talk about the relocation at work *relieved sigh*. I find a lack of transparency distressing.

LOL

I got offered a position in Auckland which I have accepted. It is much more than I expected considering that the ground conditions and construction requirements are so different and I will have to spend months learning them. That's an advantage though since I've been expert enough in local conditions that I occasionally got mouthy at the project managers when I thought they...

So far my first couple of applications just seemed to disappear, but I blame that on having to reconstruct my CV after finding the old CV must have been on a "dead" hard drive plus not having a ready Cover Letter. This weekend I made two more applications and got call backs on Monday morning. I now feel much more confident about finally making the...
