You know, during the semester I was looking forward to having some time off this summer. The stress of working and grad school was killing me. But now that I've been out of school and unemployed for about a month I'm starting to lose what's left of my sanity. I have nothing to do. My sleep schedule has completely reversed to the point that I'm basically nocturnal now. I can't get myself up in the morning because I have no reason to wake up. My friends all have either moved or have kids and can't hang out anymore. So I rarely leave the house now. I really have no motivation to do anything anymore. I planned on writing during the break. I have a few stories I wanted to work on but it's too damn hard to get out of bed these days, much less work on my writing. Dear god I need a sense of purpose again. If I at least had someone other than my delightfully indifferent cat to talk to things might be a little better.

Don't feel like being productive creatively during those nocturnal hours?

Wish you the best. I know it's hard when your schedule is upside down, but never impossible. Try to excersie during the day, so you can feel tired by night. Maybe drinking tea or hot chocolate before going to bed and you can go a bit early to bed day by day until you can get to a normal bedtime. Don't feel sad, sometimes changes take some time and can be stressful to be in that situation.
