and only a week and a couple days until my next ... and final for the year ... vacation.
taking Tu 16th to We 24th - no, no plans, no travelling... but hopefully the weather will be decent and I can get out anyways :)
maybe I'll even get a Lodge visit or two in for the helluvit - one that's not 'dark' for the summer, of course !
the yearly York Rite picnic falls on the 2nd to the last day of the vaca and that's always fun !!
last week's Grand York weekend was enjoyable - the hotel was great and, of course, the companions & brothers there
great people... and one of my own Chapter's members got me home
- hopefully someday I can pay every ride I've received and assistance given back to my companions & brothers !
finally got an Dr-required appt scheduled for this year... but it's not until September! * sighs *
unfortunately the Dr is unwilling to give me a pre-approval for the PD Reserves :(
I do have the monthly meeting with the PD Reserves on Tues/my b'day, so I'll be talking with the Reserve Captain...
at least I'd be able to volunteer for events, but I wouldn't be able to patrol
( and they already started scheduling patrols - I felt so bad telling the him :( )
'course, I have to talk and determine what I can wear to the events as I couldn't technically wear the uniform
the 1st event I can assist at is already on the 11th ... so have to find out what I can wear, where to meet, etc
...I hope we can figure this all out, at least on a temporary basis !
I should also really get to cleaning up my apartment... I've been lazy lately and pretty much everything needs to be done
and, yes, I did get my weekends mixed up, so a post-4th roadtrip/visit may have to disclude me - unless my daughter wants to go next weekend.
I'm not giving my time up with her, so if she doesn't want to go, then no roadtrip/visit... which my friend understands.
she didn't give a definitive yes or no yet - which I completely understand...
it's her final summer before her Sr Yr of HS and she's quite the 'social butterfly' :D
