Simple, really - but no one seems to like simplicity.
Less Hate. Simplest of all, and covers a variety of bases & subjects.
It covers the increases in violence in crime, it covers the reactionary attitudes that've ravaged (at least) this nation, it covers the de-supporting of criminal-minded groups & reduction of anti-PD rhetoric, etc
Take Time To Think. Think before you act & react - I know!, what a concept, right??
Think about the future, yours, theirs, the worlds. Think about what you can give instead of take... while thinking about who & what you're giving to ( yes, that means extensive research, sorry ).
Work Hard, Be Helpful. May seem different, but they really go hand-in hand.
You can work hard at being helpful & be helpful while working hard. If you're capable of working, do so. Physically and mentally. Do Something, Be Someone that others would be proud to emulate.
Be Your Best. Hardest of all, especially with the past couple years, for many of us it's an up-hill battle, certainly.
BUT... it can be done. I've faced challenges galore in '20 & '21, sicknesses & deaths, but am still pulling through.
It's helped to have had people supporting me, even though they largely have no idea they're doing so...
their presence alone has been the support I needed, the knowledge that IF I asked & they were able, they'd be there.
Love. - basically "Less Hate Pt. II." So, SO simple. Love has a multitude of aspects.
Just a smile, saying 'hi,' thinking better thoughts, knowing where to look & seeing that life is & can be better.
Not saying it's always going to be easy, but it IS simple. Love can start small, like kindness & friendship & brother(/sister)hood.
So... it's 2022. Don't wait for others to do it for us, Let's Make It Better, ourselves - that's all it takes.

12/19 : "love" the 'no access to delivery location' excuse that delivery services, even USPS !, like to use when they (obviously) didn't even send someone out - or they didn't come into this area - since it's an APARTMENT building they not only have access to, but we were home all day
12/24 : ...and so the vilification of officers upholding the law & protecting citizens & the martyrdom of criminals remain at obama-era levels, with crime increasing to utterly absurd levels, spreading like ignored mould into nearby 'burbs, criminals like kids in a new playground *sigh*
12/25 : Got one load of laundry in, then encounter a young man crying on the stairs - g/f he'd been living with apparently invited over her other b/f's, who are in the apt "with her" now while he weeps on the stairs ... what a holiday for that poor dude :(
12/26 : ah, simple amusements in a tech-oriented world - apartment complex just gave notice it's replacing the scannable app-discs already put up all over the complex with qr code labels since "it's been discovered they will not work properly on all smartphone or readable devices" *wow*
12/31 2a : some coughing fits yesterday & day prior, but only at work so assumed related - but since 'round 11p, been coughing like a graveyard smoker, just took nyquil, see if that helpz...
12/31 8a : so far since waking up only coughing fit was when I inhaled listerine up the nose ( don't ask *smirks* ) - but we'll see how the day goes, it's still early... throat is sore, but no surprise after hours of coughing like a graveyard smoker *yeesh* :(
