*laughs* - these are variations thereof... used to hearing them, as I've being hearing them the majority of my life since HS :D
so, yes, the entire thing is entirely hilarious to me :)
no, I'm not out looking to "get laid" - if I wanted to just "get laid," I probably could've... that's just not my thing
yes, I'm (obviously) single - have effectively been since the [ex-]wife left in '08 & divorced later that year
yes, I haven't had anything physical with anyone since '07, the last time with the [ex-]wife ( obviously, since I've never cheated on anyone in my life )
hells, since the ex-wife & I never actually went on dates, I haven't actually dated since '99
that may sound weird to some since I didn't even meet the ex-wife until the '00s, but we never did things together...
people assumed we did, since we'd sometimes leave together, but
- if we went out to eat, we'd be eating at places nearby & meet to go back when we were done
- if we went out to the cinema, we'd go to different films & meet to go back after the films were done
we just didn't have the same tastes - in food or film or... well... most things, actually
BUT... the ex-wife is the only one of the ex-g/fs since turning 18 that
- didn't cheat on me ( *shrugs* 'winners' picked me, I know )
- lasted longer than 40days [ in a row, since one did last longer than 40 in total but I stupidly kept taking that one back after every time she cheated... yes, I was a dumbass ]
-I still trust
and, of course, thankfully the only one I had kids with, even though
- we lost our first & last child
- we were 'sexually physical' less than the prior 3 g/fs were [ hells, one of the 3 prior we didn't even have sex while we were together, but after ]
...this latter one makes me wonder, really, since we weren't supposed to be able to have kids but nearly every time we did have sex it spawned a child, even if it didn't live *shrugs*
moving on...
IF someone did want to date/have a relationship with me, there are important things they'd need to know ::
- my kids, my work, & my (close and/or trusted) friends have priority... always
- I tend to be chaotic... there are times I'll desire closeness, other times I'll desire some space, times I'm physically-oriented, times I'm mentally-oriented
- I go out& do things on whims... I rarely plan , but just get in the mood to do something, so I do it - be it go out & eat, go to a film, etc
...this latter has PO'd roommates & friends alike because I'll be suddenly headed somewhere & they'll catch me going "hey, why didn't you tell me you were going out?" "'Well, because I just decided now I was'"
*shrugs* it is what it is... I'd go into the mathematical likeliness of my ever dating/having a relationship, but people don't care ;)
I just assume I'm not the 'datable' type or whatever title you want to give it...
'course, I admit *I* don't go out looking for dates, either
...even though friends have put me on dating sites with zero responses *laughs*
