taking 'advantage' of my temporarily sporadic internet, I've spent the day doing laundry & cleaning up the apartment... during which time I encountered two separate people moving out, who each had 'stories to tell' aka 'ranting to strangers' :D !!
Tales From The Apt Complex (Comedy Edition) ::
1st fellow moving out I'd seen before, a fellow I dubbed "High Boy" due to his perpetual reek of drugs, glazed eyes, dirty appearance, & consistent stumbling into random objects, today was "Angry High Boy" - apparently his roommate/girlfriend? booted him out & wanted some angry sympathy... to which I almost acquiesced until his glazed, dazed, dirty-reeking self got to the point where he had spent his AND her "equinomical stimula monies" on... you guessed it... marijuana.
all I could do was shake my head & wish him luck ... and get the now-clean basket of laundry I was carrying out of his scent range
2nd fellow moving out, it was the first time I'd seen him before ... but acted as though we'd met. looking depressed, sad, & generally S.O.L., he was dragging several boxes along the hallway & paused for a breath - I initially asked if I could help, but he replied it was the last of his stuff, that he'd been moving since it was still dark out, & how his *ahem* lesbian girlfriend *ahem* had just kicked him out last night so her girlfriend could move in... BUT a gay friend of hers was willing to let him move into the room where her girlfriend had been living
I kinda looked in shock for a moment before saying it sounded like one of those crazy rom-coms - or a crazier pr0n ... at least to that he kinda smiled with an "I wish" before continuing his stuff-dragging...
at least he I had sympathy for - though would've been quite interested in learning more, I admit... maybe I'd seen/met the lesbian girlfriend before? I know my neighbours are lesbians ( as my daughters discovered when we were on the deck last weekend ), so maybe that was where he was staying until today ? *shrugs*
ANYways... just had to share - this apartment complex can be weirdly intriguing sometimes... usually in a negative fashion, but at least today's negatives weren't mine
BUT... I have laundry & cleaning-up to continue on this day where we just reached a glorious 70° outside ( go figure ;) )
