had the spawnlings for an extra evening as they were dropped off the night early because of the impending winter storm...
which, aye, a hellish and annoying snowstorm it's been... well over a foot of snow - such a lovely... spring... we're having //sarcasm//
oh well, mid-April and it's only, oh, 1/2 the temp and less than it was a year ago... colour me surprised for Minnesota
grocery delivery must've been pre-aware as they had no openings for Fri, Sat, or today *shrugs* - at least I had enough food for the girls and I this weekend
workwise has been insane - and even included a complete shutdown on Thurs which made catching up nigh impossible... at least, on necessary things, while backburner stuff got semi-caught-up
so, no, I will definitely NOT have what needs to get done before vaca done before vaca... and there were even more e'mails of "needs" popping up as I left Fri
so, yeh - I'll be doing as much as I can, but there's gonna be a lot that will either have to fall into others' laps or simply not get done before my return... upon which will be end-of-month needs/necessities.
BUT... and Nonetheless - we're a mere evenin' away from vaca ! *cue celebration music*
so after work tomorrow get m'self packed up and ready and Tues am get the rental, pack it up, and OFF out of the snowpack and into the southland :D
not having to return said rental until Weds week following
MUCH, much happiness to commence *yay*
I'll do my best of getting some semi-decent photos and a posting or such while I'm on this southbound roadtrip...
again, no, I'm not driving the full 18hrs to the first ( and only planned ) destination/goal, but will see how far I DO get before I need to crash :)
even so - I'm obviously looking forward to getting out of this Wasteland Of White, not having to worry about work or the homeworld for a week-plus
SO... enjoy yourselves, my Lovelies and Gentlefolk, and mayhaps I'll catch a few or flicker or two of ya in the soontime !

4/7 : other than semi-sorta playing around with/learning how to use the smrtphone while listening to CDs and ordering groceries for this evenin', it's been a very unproductive and relatively lazy satyr's day... why do you ask ? ;)
I named the smrtphone "Cronenberg" ( fitting with the PC "Romero" and laptop "Savini" ) ... the e-cel only has the name of "e-cel," but it doesn't access the internet, etc like the other 3 do, so it doesn't get a 'fancy' name
4/7 II : definitely the first time I've had a delivery driver tell me I purchased too much and to order less heavy items next time... it was an older fellow and haven't had issues in the past, so I'll just consider this a one-off experience
4/10 : when I auto-respond with "it's ok, I'm a horrible person, you'll get used to it," why does no one ever believe me ? ranks right up there with people never believing me when I say "you'll learn to hate me one day, trust me."
4/10 II : thinking back to my late teens & early twenties, it's amazing how many friends' and acquaintances' parents trusted me - even ex-g/fs' parents - hells, there are friends' and ex-g/fs' parents that I even partied with... all the more funny when said ex-g/f despised me *laughs*
4/12 : a full day of above-freezing temps... haven't seen this in awhile... but don't expect it to last, we've got (more) snow and below freezin' temps returning all too soon *sighs* - welcome to Minnesota "spring" :(
4/12 II : the 'pattern of 3s' often has some truth to it... an exasperating day of work, followed by the laundry room being closed for repairs until Sat, followed by no grocery deliveries available until Sat! I know it can't be because of Fri 13th, I've always had great Fri 13th's - wth?
4/13 : due to the current bad weather & impending worsening, I will be getting my daughters early tonight... well, late tonight, technically, but earlier than original intent which would've been tomorrow, albiet not early but normal time thus confirming the 'early tonight' statement
4/13 II : I'm beginning to think that I'm the only one who imagines the president as the powerful, dedicated, & creative film hero defeating the idiot-who-thinks-they're-smart villain N0bama, blaming everyone for their mistakes, & working for the TRUE villain: the smarmy & creepy Hillary
4/13 III : someone who claims to know me asked me "Taco Bell or Taco Johns" - lessee, TB has... cinnamon twists. Tacojones has Potato Oles, Crunchy Chicken, Churros, and Potato Oles. since I don't eat any of the rest of what they offer, Tacojones gets the win ( hells, for Oles alone! )
4/14 : *yeesh* laundry room open today after few days closed, w/ new signage reminding people of what to do/not to do - including one that you can't start two, let alone three, washers at once or it'll flood and damage the laundry room... go figure it's flooded by 3 w/ same time >:(
