Endlings : The 44 Week 25 Round Up/Update [T44W25RU/U +1]

it's only roughly a 1/2day into the 1st day of this 3day weekend, roughly a day-and-a-half until New Year's Eve, and I'm - quite honestly and a little disturbingly - vaguely bored out of my bloody mind...
it's too cold to walk anywhere more than 10minutes - which, other than work ( which is closed for the 3days ), means nowhere is reachable to walk to *deep sigh*

aye, I've been watching TV ( largely Star Trek: Discovery ) while doing laundry to get myself out of the apartment itself, since not out of the apartment building :(

how exciting, neh ?

like last year, I was considering hitting the MOA for food, random indoor wanderings, and to be able to catch a couple flicks...
BUT, as I was disappointed to discover last year when I considered it, the theatre at MOA had closed
...a year later and, despite their claims a new theatre would be open by fall, so sorry but NOPE, no new theatre yet
so - yeh - no reason to grab a taxi to MOA... and any other theatres aren't connected nor nearby any indoor facilities for food nor wandering :(

THUS - being stuck in the apartment for another long-ass 3day weekend in too-cold weather ... and the aforementioned boredom settling in - and FAST

as years go, 2018 hasn't been too bad - thankfully we're under a new presidency and there's the possibility of my actually seeing my tax return again
we've - as usual - lost a few more famous people who'd made their mark on reality
I - as usual - have lost a few more friends and acquaintances this past year who made their mark, even if only slight, upon my reality

thinking upon the fact that it's now been a decade since I've even kissed anyone, let alone anything further, is weird - albiet not unusual, with my history in that regard
although it does make me laugh how many people assume I do and have had a lovelife of ANY kind since the ex-wife *smirks*

admittedly it's hard to meet people when my life consists of work and my daughters and I know so few people in the area - and hang out with even less
I rarely go out because there's really no where to go within walking distance and no one I'd go anywhere with anyways
( I've been told one of the reasons I don't meet people is that I go and do things alone - people apparently don't like approaching people who are always alone *shrugs*
or so I've been told... )

I see my close friends once-or-twice a decade - with a rare few more often - and far more often even less than that...
again, it's not unusual - particularly that I can basically count on my hands with fingers left over how many friends I have within 100miles
there's something about time and distance that makes just a wee bit of a dent on "hanging out" with any regularity *laughs*
when I do see friends, it's usually just a passing-through moment worth a hug and a smile and it's over just as quickly

ANYways - friends years ago put me on some dating sites, which have gotten zero responses ( which shocks me not at all, honestly )
a friend passing through even put tinder on my PC *laughs*, which I played with a little but with - again - zero responses *smirks*

so people really shouldn't laugh when I call myself "undateable" - having had a history of FOUR people I've dated in over 20yrs, including the ex-wife, even though we never actually dated, with only the ex-wife lasting longer than 40days intact lends support to this "theory"

I don't think this is odd, but other people often do...
'course, these same people don't know anyone who'd consider dating me, either ( when it gets brought up ), so I daresay their opinion on the matter is relatively moot ;)

even the random people who I'd meet and converse with ( before they'd disappear after I smiled and/or laughed ) have lessened greatly
and I've never been one with the ability to randomly approach others and start convos...
my conversation starting skills are quite lacking, to say the least - or disturbing, I admit, at times, depending upon my mood

not that I'd intend on asking any random stranger on a date that I met when out on a random walk - I'm certain that'd give a "creepy" vibe, at the very least, if not end up having the cops called on me

On a side note - even though I received no responses to the query on whether I should or not...
I DO intend to try and attempt A Poem A Day In 2018 ... at least, we'll see how it goes
if anything, it may keep my mind busy this coming year, neh ?

and post-taxation I'll likely have to throw out random dates for acceptance to utilize the 96hrs ( 2wks, 2 days ) of Remaining Vaca Time
...doesn't mean I'll end up using them worth actually doing anything, but at least I'll have the dates set-in-stone at work
so that I don't end up either losing the time or having to do several extremely mind-numbing 3day weekends for months in a row *sighs*
( did that in the past and nearly went mental - I'd rather use up the time in a chunk and get it over with, having opportunity to possibly do something - which a 3day weekend does notsupply )

SO - on that note - Farethee well my Lovelies and Gentlefolk - 'til 2018 !

twittage ::
12/23 : dear she-who-is-visiting-a-neighbour : you've got kitties on your titties... not a great choice of clothing design if you seriously don't want someone's attention to go that direction first - or you can wear something over it
12/25 : weird and wild dreams to start off a week of WTF weather... *shivers* this is going to be a "fun" week //sarcasm//
12/25 II : youngest noticed my shakiness for the first time today... had kind of a weird response, but *shrugs* they're still kids - don't think my eldest has ever noticed, if actually gave a rip *smirks*
12/25 III : SOMEone in the building must've gotten a new stereo for their holiday, as they started blasting godsawful music - before I could get a shirt on to attempting knocking on their door, I heard the neighbour across the hall head down and pound on the door :)
hopefully it lasts...
12/28 : e vino veritas
sed vinum abiit
12/29 : last workday of the year *whew* - still so much to do, will get as much done as possible with any luck :)
12/30 : I am not your... "normal"... guy, having a tendency to think sideways or even do things... unusually... on purpose - thankfully I have and have had friends who understand this, or at least knew how to deal with me... or figured it out :) ...much love to all of you - and memories
12/30 II : I admit, I'm still disappointed that there's been no cinema at the MOA this year ( even though they said a new one would re-open in the fall ) - had been thinking of spending a day at MOA and catch a flick or two since last year
