For All My Friends : The 39 Week 17 Round Up/Update [T39W17RU/U]
I don't let people know as often as I should what they have meant to me and how they have affected my life. There is a reason I call my friends "friend."
It seems I honoured such a friend by mentioning him in response to someone at work, not by name by but who he is/what he means to me as a friend.
I'm glad he felt honoured - as he was a larger part of my life than it seems he realized, and he deserves/deserved to know.
...if anything it made me realize that I haven't always let my friends know how they "fit into my world."
I've been lucky that I've made as many friends as I have - even with all the friends now gone and past, so many still remain.
I am certain I don't deserve such luck, what with how amazing so many of my friends have been and how so many have helped shape my life, whether they've realized or not.
I do my best to thank people, even for the little things, but have I always? I don't remember.
even those friends I seldom see or haven't seen in many a year - they are so very VERY important to me and wish I could see them more often.
my memory is not the greatest - for a multitude of reasons - but the good memories I have almost always revolve around moments with friends.
small instances, minor moments, the simplest conversations... the wheel turns and they fall into the past, what seemed like nothing - so very grand, indeed.
People may simply be people, acquaintances come-and-go, but many a friend stand out to me - bright and momentous.
I daresay some more than others, but they all honour me with their friendship, which I oftimes probably do not deserve.
here's to my friends, those much cared about people in my life, you remain in my mind and heart, your strengths outshine any weakness, your opinions mean so much.
thank you - truly THANK YOU - for every moment we've shared, for every minor conversation we've had, for every hug, handshake, or other gesture.
I may be far from most of you, but time and distance mean nothing in friendship... this I've most assuredly learned with many of you in the past few years!
and I daresay I wish I could be and could've been there for you all as much as you were all there for me.
Much love, my friends. Until I see, hear, or read from/of you again - you are one of the best parts of my life!
