*woah* a SG post only? that's a first... moving on.
Though I started off the week with absolutely no plans for a weekend without my darlin' spawnlings (not unusual there), had a message from a friend I hadn't seen in awhile this morning asking if I'd be willing to help her out at a booth during TC Pride this weekend since her husband won't be able to (other than give us a ride there/back after).
I immediately responded, but am still waiting for a response back - I'm hoping I'm able to help her out, as 1) I love helping my friends (yeh, I'm an "odd" one that way) and 2) I have yet to go to TC Pride even though I've been invited by several friends in the past, I had no way to get there.
*crosses fingers* should be damn fun - people watching while helping out is just one of those random things I like to do.
and we're a week from the official first day of CONvergence!
even though it'll be my last CON (for awhile), I always have so much fun there - and'll be great t'see my CONfriends, as well as meet more (a common occurance for CON).
humerously (at least, I think so) my ex-wife has volunteered to drive me there Weds ... I just have to remind her on Tues... I may have a bad memory at times (due to my head damage), but her memory is naturally like a sieve - is it any wonder I used to call her "Memori Lain?" She's well aware of it, so it's no insult - hence, the necessary reminder.
how I"m getting home, however, is my usual no-plan-but-I'll-make-it-work scenario. Only one of the CONs I've been to did I have a ride home upon arrival at CON... it may sound like bad planning, but it's worked out for me so far. I suppose if push came to shove I could always contact the ex from the hotel as a last minute possibility *shrugs*... or even take a taxi, if I had to (despite the expense).
So... possible Pride weekend, two days of work, and definate CON!
(who knows, maybe I'll even see some of ya there?)
