it's been roughly a year since my fathre said he was proud of me for the 1st... and last... time, in his last days before passing a year ago on the 17th - suppose it's about time I take his obituary/funeral pamphlet off my fridge - or maybe in a day or two...

So... it's 2022. We all want it to be different than '20 & '21, but how are you going to make it different ?
Simple, really - but no one seems to like simplicity.

Got one load of laundry in, then encounter a young man crying on the stairs - g/f he'd been living with apparently invited over her other b/f's, who are in the apt "with her" now while he weeps on the stairs ... what a holiday for that poor dude :(

"No major changes," they claimed when the complex changed hands - I succeeded fighting one, since the lease countered it, but a new one means I have 'til sometime Jan to somehow use up $50+ on my laundry card due to changing them

Been over a month since my last posting, but it's been a slow, strange year and I've already posted on the major things as they happened, I believe.
Wintertide is very much here, had our first major snow just days ago, though it's been quite cold for some time now *sighs*...

well... tonight's plans went sideways - not cancelled, but no way to get there, even uber has no available drivers with a 2hr wait estimate for availability *oof* - guess no one wants to be driving tonight ? :(

*sighs* sometimes people can be jackholes... delivery service stupidly left a package in the front entry of building, I get home see bits of the packaging around entry & down hallway, but what I purchased sitting on top of entry heater - glad they didn't want it, but still >:(

wild, weird, violent night of dreamage, incl. : watching PB late night at old, empty homestead, stop film as I hear a noise, find door/screen wide open, check deck & nearby yard finding nothing, then screendoor is shot as I'm closing it, see by muzzleflash a woman by quonset approaching towards riverside of house, close door quickly & 'realize' someone's already in the house... then...

taking the kinda-good with the kinda-bad ... kinda-good, the last pair of glasses I've been waiting on since June has been re-ordered & should see in a couple of weeks; kinda bad, tooth pain receding only for another tooth in a different area to start bitching at me *sighs* :(

2020 & 2021 feel like they've passed so fast yet lasted so long... with their share of good & bad moments - and, aye, I know the year's not done yet !
I've had my personal hits - such as my fathre's illness/sepsis & related in '20, following by his passing in January
but I've also had unexpected support - such as finding & joining...

slept more in the past two days than week prior - who'd've thought that dental pain having just gotten over last week's back pain would be so exhausting ... never felt so out of it or had such a hard time pushing through it - this kinda thing used to be push-through & done - Oi!

With both good & bad moments, this year has been flying by... the summertide passing by far too fast *sighs*
Feels like there's so much I should've been doing & hadn't gotten the chance to
that for every success, there's something else that falls behind in counter to it

and, of course, summertide never last long enough as it is
