How are you today, sir?

wizard0:
Not too bad.  Relaxing with a bacon-wrapped hotdog filled with velveeta cheese, wrapped in a slice of bread.  Only BBQ sauce would make it better.  And yourself?
leftyanasazi:
That sounds delightfully indulgent. Myself, I'm trying to take a break from assembling a very frustrating bookcase. I have to go wait tables soon and I think it will actually be relaxing by comparison. Haha!

maine sounds like such a beautiful state! and haha, well winter sounds like the best time to hibernate then, I couldn't imagine putting up with the cold up there! lol. hope all is well :)

It is indeed a beautiful state.  As long as you like woods, lakes, streams and mountains.  We're known for our scenery.  The foliage in fall is spectacular.  But when it's cold, it's cold.  This winter is supposed to be extra harsh too.  Hope all is well with you, @ramen!

Hey there! I think we may have the same taste in authors/books and would love some new authors if you can recommend some. I have been reading fantasy over 15 years and i need new material!! Thanks for your time.

wizard0:
If you don't mind some older stuff, Roger Zelazny's Amber series is great.  Marion Zimmer Bradley's Darkover books are awesome!  Stephen Donaldson has some good stuff with the Thomas Covenant series, but I actually like the 2 book series, Mordant's Need, the best.  Raymond Feist has some great ones, as well as Robin Hobb.  David Eddings is another one.  Jim Butcher is just fantastic with his Dresdon Files.  I can't get enough of those.  Obviously Robert Jordan and the Wheel of Time.  I liked the Sword of Truth series by Tery Goodkind, but feel it really became kind of repetitive and faded toward the end.  Same with the David Drake books.  George RR Martin has fantastic books, but is slower than Robert Jordan in finishing them, and Robert already passed.  Melanie Rawn has some great series, but my favorite books from her would be the Ruins of Ambrai series which she never finished.  Sad times.  That's all I can think of off the top of my head.  For more I'd have to look through my books.
