He re-homed a chipmunk into the house a few days ago. I hear him tearing the house up last night, so I assume he found in again. This time it's a mouse. He's just toying with it, and chasing it around everywhere, including in a circle around my legs. Finally he loses the mouse, and then the mouse comes up behind the cat, and jumps on his tail. Not even joking. They may be friends now.

My dog was useless when there was a field mouse in the house; I always expected to see them curled up together. Your cat on the other hand seems like he's going against his kitty nature. The least he can do is take his new friends back outside to play.
