@rambo @lyxzen I know that most people will be picking resolutions to improve themselves in some way. To lose weight, to exercise more, eat better, be more tolerant, be more forgiving, etc. All good and worthy endeavors. the more power to you, if you can stick with them. I should certainly exercise more. I should eat better. I should lose weight. I'd like to think I'm fairly cool in the tolerant department. I'm somewhat forgiving, but I can also carry grudges for a long time. I can forgive smaller things. Big things take much more time. (It was about 5 years before I spoke to my mother, after my parents got divorced.) I find that what I really need is to be more appreciative of what I have. Many things you don't even think to appreciate until they're gone. The ability to stand back up, after a fall. The capability to climb stairs. Just being able to draw enough air to breathe. Running. Hiking. Fishing. Biking. When I was a kid, I thought nothing of a 5 mile bike ride to town and back. Now if I can do 2 minutes on an exercise bike, it's a good day. Take time to appreciate what you have. Slow down. Watch birds. Just go outside and breathe. Spend time with family and friends. Don't wait to tell them how you feel. Put down your computers and phones and just BE. Appreciate yourself. I think that's a resolution I can keep.
