Roses are red
Outside is cold
Why all of a sudden
Am I so old?
I introduced my step-mother to Search for the Holy Grail tonight. She laughed, but I don't think she quite "got" it. We'll have to see how she does with Life of Brian. Soooooooooooooo freaking funny!
@charmaine I'm not really that superstitious, and yet I am in so many little ways. I knock on wood, not because I believe it will stop a jinx, but .....just in case. If I'm on a winning streak, I don't mention it. On a winning streak, I will continue to do things exactly the same as I have been, believing that the change may jinx...

I always get double stuff oreos. I break them apart and make quadruple stuff oreos. (and a cookie with no stuff)
My favorite fictional character would have to be Tom Sawyer. He was the young boy that every boy wants to be. Mischievous, well-meaning, adventurous, fun-loving, etc. He does things on the spur of the moment, with little thought of the consequences, and eventually things always work out for him. He's highly intelligent, but uses that to get out of responsibility, instead of excelling at school....

The only real hidden talent I can think of is actually slightly embarrassing, but great at parties, especially if you can't think of something to say. Not counting my propensity for making people laugh while they're drinking, always a good time! To understand this, you need to watch the movie Animal House. When D-day drives his motorcycle up the stairs and stops, he plays a...

@charmaine My biggest accomplishment in my life would, without a doubt, be when I joined my fraternity. It changed the entire focus and direction of my life. It enabled me to help out with homeless shelters, blood drives, unicef, the red cross, the american cancer society, halloween haunted houses, special olympics, breast cancer awareness, battered women's shelters, animal shelters, food pantries, coloring contests for 2nd...

@charmaine My invention would be a device that temporarily shorts out other electronic devices. A point-and-click device. Whenever I'd see someone texting and driving, talking on their phone and driving, and obviously and dangerously not paying attention to their environment while operating such a device, I could help them out by turning it off for a time. Quite possibly saving their lives. I'd expect no...

I got my Geekology and Suicide Girls Beauty Redefined books in the mail. The Geekology is incredibly awesome! I was surprised by how many of the models I was already following. The second book, I haven't gone through yet, but holy fucking heavy! It's going to be a good workout just looking through that one. I'm sure it'll all be worth it in the end...

Take a 10 pound bag of small russet potatoes. Wash thoroughly. Pre-heat oven to 450 degrees. Poke holes in the potatoes with a fork. (Learned that the hard way) Bake for 1 hour. Slice potatoes lengthwise down through the middle. Use a spoon to scrape out the insides into a bowl. I scrape as close to the skin as possible, because I don't care for...

Garfield (my orange cat) brought in a tiny dead mole, undoubtedly to display his love for me. I tossed it outside in some high grass and flowers. Miss Kitty (his sister, my other cat) just brought in a dead mole that is suspiciously the same size as the other one. I think she recycled it.
In my life there have been two major influences on the person I've become (not counting parents or relatives). One was scoliosis, which I covered last blog, and the other is my Fraternity. Not a frat, a Fraternity. There's a world of difference. My first year of college, I commuted. I lived about 15 miles from the college, so it wasn't much of a hardship,...
