Definitely a pacifist.... I don't believe in violence for any reason, save defense, and I do not consider the current "war" defense.

i consider myself a pacifist, however, i'm pro-war. (i know you said anti-war only, but i'm assuming you were expecting all pro-war people to be non-pacifists.)
i don't feel the need to be violent in my life's situations, i think most things are better resolved using werds and violence won't accomplish shit. however, when it comes to a situation as this war, werds aren't gonig to accomplish shit; we're dealing with a power hungry dictator who's not willing to reason with the outsiders that are trying to take his power away. thus, the only reasonable solution would be to exile him in one way or another, and it would be likely (and proven to be true) that he'd be unwilling to voluntary leave and give up what he lives for....if i were in his position (like entirely, psycho and all,) i wouldn't either. i'm all about accomplishing dreams, but not when you've got to act purely for the benefits of your own self-interest at the expense of an entire nation; that is morally and ethically wrong.

I believe that people are basically good, but that's probably because I project my own good intentions into places they don't belong.

i think good and bad are irrelevant terms when talking about people's "basic" behavior. as b.f. skinner pointed out, all humans are directly influenced by their enviornment, born only with an inate need to "survive". i.e.: food, water, shelter. given the right enviornment, you can mold a good or bad person. the only problem is that the people setting the standards as to what good and bad are usually have other motives.

yup thats what i was hoping would happen. i appreciate spring so much after living in minneapolis for years and now here in the mountains winter for 7 months==you must be happy when spring rolls around.

I'm excited about a couple of people I met tonight. Time will tell I guess if it's going to amount to anything. But I will enjoy the moment.
But it is scary what liberties we've lost shortly after 9-11. Liberties many don't fully realize as they've been rolled into vague 'war on terror' legislation. One of the main goals of terrorism is to create an environment where the state reacts and becomes oppresive to the point where others--less radical types--are impelled to revolt against the state.
