thanks for posting that link! the writer made some interesting points. i have so many problems with the activist "community", i have a hard time remaining involved in long term projects because i become so disgusted with the hierarchy, hypocrisy, and elitism that exists within that certain group of people. it seems people would rather quibble over their differences than work for the greater good. i am involved in planning a series of workshops right now about sexuality in punk and activist communities because i have so many issues with the way we treat each other, and i feel like there needs to a forum to discuss the sexism, homophobia, and other problems that go on but are always overlooked.
