You know, this is just my opinion, but I think reboots happen because my "generation" doesn't appreciate older movies. Everything has to be cgi and crap to be good now. It sucks. Example my coworker is 18, she and I watched Dark Crystal together. She hated it, why, the effects were bad. They're supposed to be, it's from the early 90s or something.... it's also the best movie from when I was a kid too.

Every word you wrote is exactly what I would have said (or wrote). The 2012 Dredd is a very, very good movie, far better than the crappy pice of shit they threw at us in the 90s. I really like Sylvester Stallone, but Judge Dredd was friggin' awful! And I was as sceptical as you are towards the 2012 remake and for the same reasons, but I never regretted watching it.

@yourimmortal Totally agree, and with the limited number of posters allowed, those of us with actual questions get pushed aside by buffoons who exploit the anonymity provided by the web to unleash their inner eight year old. On the other hand @eminence and I now use Open Boobs in everyday conversation when referring to someone making an ass of themselves in public, so there's that.
