today: i found myself awake at the early morn of 7:00 am, only by virtue of foresight in setting the alarum on my cell phone to execute. the robots tried their best, gave me a thirty minute interview, and i was off. this was a somewhat disappointment, but all in all, i feel ok. they can't refuse the alan. they know this to be true.
finished the yellow-tail mer-lot. this amused me thoroughly, and we ate a fine meal with the people at the limerick junction. although barry the singer would not satiate my request for the "freebird" (as is required by state law for someone to request freebird at any music event) he did however play a song i thought was another song, which was pleasing. i heard the words "cassius clay" and confusiated them into "mohammed ali" which is a damn good folk song my dad introduced me to.
the man in the cab was somewhat ripped off. miles is a confused fellow when it comes to leaving tip. clocking in at 8%, the driver was pissed.
in other news, i saw the movie "better off dead" with john cusack, and was thoroughly amused. there's something admirable and disturbing about it at the same time. one could easily predict the onset of claymation sequences. one could identify the roles that each actor would eventually fulfill. this movie was genius!
i suppose it's clear i'm generation y, given it's the first time i've seen this movie. then again, i can boast about the purity of my bodily fluids, given i was not exposed to claymation until after the age of 10.
tomorrow: i have an interview with the start-up, and these people better write down a figure or state one in a loud and clear voice or they get no cookie and no entry-level research assitant. this would suck if they can't find ways to pay me significantly more than norfolk southern. i'm going to seriously laugh if the figure they quote unto me works out to less than what i'm willing to settle for. this is not only appropriate during an interview, but desirable. one must not appear callow. one must instigate discussion with a hearty laugh in the style of zangief from street fighter.
