Story of the day.........
People, people, people, - I know I don't have to tell you that alcohol + sharp axe = a trip to the hospital...where I'll fix you and be all compasionate and after you leave, just shake my head
Honestly - the Cpl that came in today because over the weekend he got drunk, cut half of his finger off and had to get it reattached - made me feel thankful that I am not only a crazy hyper drunk.....but at least a safe one
Of course today I heard every sunburn joke there was out there. You can only hear "Smells good in here - is someone boiling lobster?" so many times before you snap. I just found a corner to hide in to #1 - get away from the constant jokes and #2 hide so that nobody would see my cherry red skin. I am not gonna lie to you though - this one hurt
Usually I am use to getting burnt while out in the sun, but after that much time in the field....even the sunscreen didn't help. For now, I'll soak in Aloe Vera gel and be miserable for a few days until I look tanned - then WATCH OUT! I'll be back to my entertaining old self
There is one thing that seems to help this whole thing though........
See this smile?......Just thinking how lucky I am to have you as a friend put it there
Hope you all had a wonderful day

Kisses

Poor red you. And I'm sure the uniform is all soft and comfy to wear with this. Right! But at least you tan, eventually. I go straight from burn to peel to white again. *sigh* Somehow I seem to have lost the part of the Indian genes that allows me to tan.
Have you tried to make your sgt feel bad for doing this to you, or is that a lost cause?
Still sending those good hopes to your sis. Our love to her.
And, of course, much love to you. Don't you just wish you could fill your tub fill of aloa vera and sliiiiiiiide right into it. Ahhhhhhh.
