I always think it's good to develop other skills that will make you more valueable in your field.
honestly, if you pierce and tattoo and it's a slow day and only 2 piercings walk through the door... or none... you always have tattooing to fall back on.
If they're willing to train you or let you learn while working there, why the hell not!?

I whole-heartedly agree with Gadget and couldn't put it better than she did. More skills = more bills $$. Plus you will have an outlet that allows you to touch a person's life forever. They'll never forget you. The people I've been pierced by are, sadly, all nameless faces, but my tattoo artist will always have a special place in my heart.
