Instead of allowing my errors to evoke an unblockable rush of despair and inactivity and self-loathing, I will grit my teeth, sqare my jaw, stick out my chest, accept the fall-out and fix things. Instead of overcompensating for the things I can't change, I'll instead work on changing the things I can change.

I will not rest on the laurels of my momentary spurs of...

housesitting is a managable kind of loneliness made comforting by the fact that i haven't felt completely at home anywhere in the past five years.

home.

John Lithgow, in his inimitably manic (and perpetually unreconized), brilliant performance in The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai tosses off the throwaway one-liner "home is where you wear your hat." since college, really, i've had places where my stuff sits...

maybe you need to stop thinking so much.

ahhh home. without a traditionally defined family unit, or any family unit for that matter, what is home? where you live? where you feel comfortable? some place you love? none of these? some people don't feel comofrtable anywhere. maybe home is just being among those you care about. aaacgh.

after a shitload of veal sausage and chicken yesterday, and a Roma Rack of beef ribs tonight, it's a safe bet that my body, deprived of meat (shit's expensive, you know) for so long, had forgotten what it felt like to eat it. the resultant internal reconfiguration kicked in right about the second i was supposed to sing at the boiler room tonight. i limped...

I've eaten too much, a situation I will rectify by hitting the gym HARDCORE for the first time in a week tonight. I'm actually anticipating the pain, the stress, the feeling that I won't be able to fucking move tomorrow. Dare I say I'm a bit horny over the ordeal?

A bit about working out: I don't have a too-strenuous regular workout. I hit the...

i think that many people do take the simplest, most blatant form of feminism e.g., men can't tell me what to do, and fail to go any further. i definitely feel that the movement as it is is still valuable because there is still so much (to me obvious) sexist feeling. the sheer volume of sexist advertising should convince most people of that.
as for suicidegirls... it is a weird duality for me, exploring my sexuality in public view and yet believing that women's bodies should be as private as men's are allowed to be.

there's sex on my hands and arms, sex on my tongue, creeping around the backs of my teeth, there's the phantom pressure of hips against mine, the caress of legs on either side of my waist, the numbness at the base of my cock, there's sex against the side of my cheek, there's the gentle swell of breast beneath my fingers and the snap of...

stopped by O3 records today and chit-chatted with the guitarist for Nice Nice.

i take a certain amount of satisfaction with talking to folks here, be it in record stores or at shows or what have you, because there's that moment that you reach when you're talking to someone and it dawns on them that you know more about the subject than they expected you...
