It's been along time. Months. Four crazy months. And I am still in San Diego. Not for long though. Next week, I'll be working in Phoenix full time. At least until they wipe out this project, which could happen at any time.

That has been part of the chaos. Delivery of software has been ongoing, and wrought with problems. Now they have a consulting firm...

Well, everything is moved out of the San Diego apartment. My back has mostly survived. It was actually doing very well until I moved furniture around my house on Sunday. The bummer is, I am still 'staying' at the SD apartment until Thursday. Luckily, my roommate here still has furniture... i've been sleeping on his sofa since I returned. I really should inflate the Coleman...

I'm SUCH a moron. I was waiting for my take out... killing time going thru my wallett and I found a check for $200 from March. At least it doesn't say anything like 'void after 90 days'. This weekend I will try to deposit it. I would do it now, but Bank of America are f'ed up. My account is in Arizona, and I'm in...

So you're working in Sandiego and Phoenix? Sounds like you get the best of both worlds, being able to cherrypick from both places what you do on the weekends.

What kind of metalwork are you into?

Well, now I'm not moving. At least not yet. When I gave my notice at work, they gave me an offer I just couldn't refuse. So it looks like one more month in San Diego. Just so long as I am home by Thanksgiving.

In other news, we went to Tijuana Saturday night. Lord Black's. And I think I have a new Mexican girlfriend, but...

Alright. I've grown very tired of these news stories about what some news flunky was able to get through airport security. That little metal detector is just a facade. Come on people. Does anyone really believe that someone will ever beable to down a plane using a box cutter? Hell, they could bring on a K-bar onboard and still get torn apart by the passengers....

Well, it looks like I have a new job. Starting Oct 4th at Orbital Sciences. I'm gonna be a rocket scientist! No Lie! Check their website! Orbital's Web

Anyhow, I'm really not that excited about the job, but I am about being able to move back home. I'm excited about being able to actually live in my house. Excited about being able to finally unpack....

Hey man, I have been out of touch with this site until this week. We just went to North Carolina to deliver the product I've been working on, to the client. Now on to Phase II!!! And our demo of the product was great so there will BE a phase II. smile

I generally do enterprise Java stuff. Like this product allows the auto parts industry to communicate, order parts from one another, do business via SOAP over HTTP.

Congrats on your job, even if you are not that excited about it. What will you be doing? Programming missles????? Just watch out anyone who's pissed you off lately! wink

Hey! I am back from Powell. Okay okay, I've been back a couple days. But work is still silly crazy. But not for much longer. I'm negotating a new job back in Phoenix. I'm tired of this working in San Diego, living in Phoenix stuff. And it promotes chaos.

Speaking of chaos, I'm such a retard. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow, basically a checkup...

Do I always need to go into my preferences to enter a new journal entry? Seems odd to me. I guess I should RTFM. But it's so easy to just slack off. Funny how contemplating a little extra effort investigating the right way to do something the correct way just seems too much to ask of myself. That sentence was probably more effort than just...

Ah. Back. Detroit sux. There's just no way around it. And the more I go there, the more it seems to really be a pit. On Lupin the Third, an anime on Adult Swim, they put it all into perspective. It was on when I finally made it in, and just as I was sitting down, getting ready to sleep I was watching it, thinking...

Ahhh you are back. I know Detroit really sucks. I have a license to sell insurance in MI and I hate the city of Detroit. I literally have to get this big freaking map out and ask the stinking person what side of what street this and that they are on to figure out their stupid rate and it is always hi! Lowsey drivers. Ha. Now you know that I am an insurance agent. frown The thrill is gone. Yep I sell insurance home/auto/life/health in AZ and 38 other states. But I don't like selling to friends so don't worry, I won't hit you up.

So glad you are back. You should log in to SGAZ group and check the calendar for this weekend. Or just go to my page and check my calendar. Happening partay thats 4sure.

Stop by and post sumthing will ya. Later toots. biggrin

Ahhhhhh! I hate that! I just wrote a long LONG comment in someone's journal and accidently hit the backspace key outside of the window, thus causing the browser to go 'back' one page. And it was long. Sorry Fedona! You got the abbreviated version. I'll have to make it up to you later!

I am about to head to the airport, else I would type...

Well, my favorite place to go is in the backside of Chevlon Lake on one of the real dirty side roads off to Winslow that used to be in use heavily before paved roads. It is great. We camp off on a ridge that is right above the lake's entry. Super hike down and great fishing. German Browns are a real trial to fish. Last year we had it out with a snake that kept coming in and biting our fish. I have some creepy shots of the snake. Gave me the willies. Usually snakes don't bother me, but in the water they just hit me like nails on a chalk board or a shadow passing over your grave as they say. In the White Mountains we go to Reservation Lake. We do that once every 2-3 years as the altitude is hard on me and I get super sunburned up there. Great fishing and super landscape. I just love it. My ultimate life wish would be to live up there off the land with no electric and just be at peace with animals, the land and myself. My husband and I are real good at survival. We know just about anything you need to in order to survive. Sometimes I think I was born in the wrong century!

Well have fun in Detroit.

So far, I must say, I am really enjoying SG. Great diversity of people. I'm finding it is easy to spend lots of time reading through all the groups, journals, bios, whatnot. A solid community. Yet, it feels a little odd, just piping up in other's conversations. I almost feel like I need to listen for awhile before speaking up. This, however, is most certainly...

I too am a new person on the block... Oh my gosh I just sounded so 80s and I am not going to hit the backspace key! Lucky you. It is hard to pipe in and some people are really warm and welcoming while some ignore ignore ignore... but hey its all good. People are just people. Real profound of me. Well, I am going to extend my virtual hand of friendship out to you because you seem like a swell guy. You have many of my same interests. I love L-o-v-e CAMPING! My husband and I go camping on the Mogollon Rim and White mountain region. We were hoping to find some really new die hard campers. We used to go camping with some of his co workers but they have some kids and one of them likes to light shit on fire and damn near killed us all in this little nook we camp in a year back or so. Needless to say we dumped them. We would love to find some people who like to camp like we camp. We go where there are few people. Non designated camping... meaning you carry in you carry out. We also love to go repelling. We are both natives to Arizona so we know some good spots so hopefully we can build a camping group or something after some time. So few people really are real campers. I know how to weld too since I grew up on a ranch. If you go to my pics you can see my ranch in some of them and you may not be able to see the horse pens in great detail, I helped weld pens. I came from small town Laveen too. So Hobbit Wern all you have to do is accept my friend request and post comments on your board or mine from time to time. You also might want to join the SGAZ group too. Take it easy!
