i can't stop listening to dusty springfield's "you don't have to say you love me." i want to be holding a diamond incrusted cigarette holder and an extra dry martini in the other. i want to be wearing a mink stole and a blonde wig ... this is how my grandmother used to dress. i wish that people still dressed like that, and if i did i wouldn't look like i was in costume. i wish men still pulled out chairs for women and nightclubs consisted of a man playing the grand piano and a marilyn-esque jeweled and red lipsticked sang sinatra hits. i wish i had a time machine.
it's so nice outside. why am i writing. i've taken to smoking at my desk, it's right by a window so i think it's nice. i found an apartment for the summer!! it is right next to my favorite coffee shop AND my favorite breakfast spot, which just opened their outdoor seating. it has HUGE pillars in the front. it is a MANSION. its split up into apartments and we have the lower level, complete with the stone steps and porch swings. i'm taking abnormal psych, developmental psych, from conception to birth (biology) and a fiction writing class. maybe i will write stories about naked women. maybe i will write stories about naked lucy.
