Just woke up from the weirdest dream. I am in my sister's new home(only this woman is not my sister). She and her husband are redecorating it so every thing in the house is neatly torn apart. We are having dinner and they are telling me about the ghost who also lives in the house. The ghost is making the reno.s difficult because she doesn't want anything changed. I am laughing and bemused when my sister says, "She's here now", very calmly and quietly but with what seems to me uncharacteristic reverence or is it fear?
"See!" says my sister's husband. What I turn to see is wall paper falling off the wall behind me. I get up and walk to over to the wall and a fear, amost panic, I've never felt before climbs up my spine. My brother-in-law is speaking to me but I am not listening. I am transfixed on the curl of wallpaper that is peeling off the wall. Part of my mind is telling me that wallpaper falls down all the time, when I feel a literal blast of chill air begin to bufett me. The air is truely cold but the stream feels small as though someone were blowing it at me through their mouth. I hear my brother-in-law says, "Do you feel it?". I am nodding my head yes and turning back to my sister when I catch sight of my one and a half year old niece in the livingroom. Only her head seems to be almost level with mine. I do a double take and realize she is floating about three or four feet off the ground, like some one is carrying her in their arms.
It's then that the panic takes control. Iam screaming. Everything seems to be vibrating like those time elapsed films of plants growing. I am dimly aware of my sister yelling almost out of control. "Audrey! Not the baby!...Audrey?! Not the BABY!" and she is running towards my neice.
I woke up moaning and almost immediately feel back into a similar dream. The next dream was in the same house, same people but my sister and brother-in-law were teaching me what they had learned about 'Audrey'. The rest of this dream is too disjointed and confusing to describe but I agan woke myself up, screaming in a panic "Audrey?! Where are you? AUDREY?!!" over and over in my dream.
I forced myself to stay awke after that.
