I'm updating this blog this because I just re-joined the site. I'm not positive what provoked me to do that, but it's done now and I'm paid up through the year. I'll have to get more active on the boards/groups and make the investment worth it.

That's all.

Maaaaax. Just poping in to say hi, I guess. I haven't talked to you in a while. Hope you're doing well. Not sure when you'll get around to reading this, but the sentiment is timeless! smile

I haven't posted a blog in a long time. That's no good at all. My excuse is that I've been "too busy," but that's not really the case. I've been too lazy is closer to the truth.

We've moved back to Jonesboro for a little while so that I can attend classes and get my GPA high enough to transfer back to Portland. It's not...

I just picked up the latest Decemberists' album, and wow, it has some amazing songs on it. I still prefer Castaways but it is really good. Have you heard it? What do you think?
reptilia:
I'd thought they had a new one out but I haven't heard it yet... Definitely will look for it next time I'm at Hastings.

I envy the people that haven't got into the Decemberists yet, because they have so much beautiful music to explore.

I just got Tiger. Finally. It is as sexy as they told me it would be.

In other news, classes are going slowly. I still need to get my high school and old college to send my transcript up here. I only have like 30 more days.

I ordered a vegan "leather" belt from Roethke's store and it rocks. It actually feels tougher than...

So I noticed you dug the last bailey set! If you are interested you can read about behind the scenes info in my Oct. 31st journal entry. So did you notice the burning car? Most people mised it. Its our fun little "plant".

I'm cutting stuff.

I've cut caffeine, alcohol, and I've cut down on sweets.

If you're not careful, I might even cut you.

Probably not though.
reptilia:
I don't think you have much to worry about in regards to V... It's a very good movie. Usually films that don't take seriously their inspiration turn out to be horrible in all aspects, not just their proximity plot-wise to the original source. And V is certainly a good movie. Admittedly I do like some bad films, but this doesn't fall under the category.

I gave up on caffeine a long time ago. Every now and then I'll have a coke, but I usually just drink water or Sprite and I'm good. I never really noticed feeling any different when I stopped. I don't know why some people can get "addicted" to it. I do know somebody who drinks like 700-900 calories of Dr. Pepper on a regular basis, however. That's crazy, man. surreal surreal
reptilia:
Yeah, I read about 10,000 days potentially being a decoy album in the Tool group. I don't put much faith in the argument, but it would be nice if it were a fake, because then we'd effectively get two new Tool albums! biggrin

I'm becoming disappointed with the direction of things. I know I'm not the only one who feels this way. It just seems like the feel and flow of things has changed quite a bit.

In other news, my life is going fine. I'm looking for a new job because we're probably closing in 9 weeks. If anyone knows of any work in the area (west...

When did Tako House get revived? eeek

Anywho, if you see this I was just wanting to ask you a question. My hair is getting pretty long now, and when you had long hair it was like the prettiest thing I'd ever seen. I was just wondering what shampoo/conditioner combo you used to make it hawt stuff. confused

Take care
reptilia:
Thanks! I'll check it out ASAP. Pretty cheap too so that's a plus.

Keep at it with TH, man. I remember KamikazeGnome.8m.com, and was sad when it disappeared. It inspired me to learn HTML actually, and now I'm pretty good at it, but never use it. Even if you take it a few small steps at a time, keep it going. There'll always be an audience.

See ya!

Update.

Still in Portland. Visiting home soon. Learning Japanese. Working on an art project. Needs to update to Tiger. Reading Battle Royale again. Writing some. Wants some tempeh.

Out.

I just picked up both volumes of Gotham Central at Powell's last night and I'm in love. Both of them are great and I would recommend them highly to any comic fans.

Things are going good at work. I'm up to 40 hours so the money is rolling in just fine. We need some more people though. We won't be able to survive "The Holidays"...

So I'm at home on the couch enjoying the new SGTV videos. I love how SG comes up with all sorts of nifty stuff for us Mac addicts (yes I know there is an iTunes for Windows but let's not kid ourselves).

Lauren and I are doing fine now. Lots of lengthy discussions cleared up many of the problems and I think that we're in...

Forest of Fright: It's in Piggot, on some county road 3 miles west of St. Francis, Arkansas. I hope we don't have too much trouble finding it. eeek

About Waiting, yes, it is strange. Although they did have a warning telling us not to get any ideas on the sign-up sheet. :p

So Lauren is still out with her "photographer friends" and it's like 2:30 in the morning. She won't answer the phone, all she does is text message me these vague "I might get to come home soon" messages that I'm having to pay for. This may cause our first real fight as a married couple simply because of the total lack of communication.

She didn't...

Good luck on tackling this. Communication problems always need to be resolves soon.

You kinda sound like my mom though. She calls me like once every hour when I'm out and about.

So I got a job. Go! The Game Store. Yes, I sell board games and puzzles. It's the slowest, easiest job ever. The pay is good and it's full time but man is it boring. Oh well, I'd much rather be bored than stressed out.

In other news, Portland is treating me well. I'm getting used to transportation and shopping and all that jazz. It's...

Have you seen British Sea Power before?

They are great live. I saw them in May at the Doug Fir. For $10, you really can't go wrong!
