had a great time tonight. gonna be paying for it in the morning...what? it IS morning...oh damn.
later: just to clarify. I wasn't hungover at all.
I kept myself to a strict pace of drinking since I drove the motorcycle to the show. I just haven't been out on a weeknight in a long long while because my current job has me out of bed by 530 am and doing physically demanding work all day long.
the show went great. Both bands were a lot of fun. the lead guitarist for the first band...aaauugh. i forget their name...The Hottest...*mumblesomthingsomethings*
was really good.
Tsu Shi Ma Mi Rae was a lot of fun! they'd pause between songs and be all "sank you vewy much! We..love...Tekass!" and grin and bounce. I thought at first it was a fake funny thing, but they really are like that. and those girls can fucking PLAY. the bass lines were really well done.
and then the show. I'm wanting to sleep so I'm not going to to all into how badass the show was, but it was. It was shorter than I expected and there was a long wait after the bands of standing in a crowd, but those are really the only complaints.
All the girls looked amazing. I went mainly to see Nixon and Reagan...didn't know much about any of the others. Fanny totally rocked and had so much energy, people were literally bouncing out in the audience whenever she came on stage.
anyhow...it was great.
then went to Magnolia and ate a big omelette and BACON after the show and then I got home and posted the above comment knowing I had to be at work in a few hours.
work today wasn't too too bad, but I was tired as shit when I got home.
and worse just that one night up late has jumpstarted my natrual night owl tendencies and insomnia. I'd really like to be asleep right now , but it isn't happening.
I think I'm gonna be off the site more than I have been for a while. It occurred to me that I've got this huge library that I never read from anymore and I've got these cameras that I don't play with near as much as I used to and real life friends that I don't talk to near as much as I should. so I'm gonna get my head out of the screen and back into the world for a while. I'll still be around.
gonna be gone all this weekend doing Marine Corps shit and after I get back the first thing I want to do is go and see MirrorMask. I'm a huge Gaiman and Mckean fan so I'll probably orgasm sometime during the movie.
