Sorry to hear about your grandpa. My gramps did the same thing. He had alzheimers so bad he reversed back through his life...it was nuts...for awhile he just didn't remember us youngins, then it was his own kids, then he thought he was in the war again, then he didn't know even grandma, and in the end before he became silent he spoke only french (his mom only spoke french so they'd had a bilingual household).
It's such a bewildering and painful disease for all involved...I hope things go as well as possible for you and your family.

Sounds like you've pinched a nerve in your back. It could be a few things, though. I learnt a bit of massage a while ago, and I learnt that people hold a lot of tension around the edge of their shoulder blades. Ergo, it could just go away when the Erik thing finishes.
