Despite my previous post about some young jerk off trying to raise his self worth at my expense, I had a much more positive experience lately.
The other night one of my favorite, if not favorite, hopefuls posted a picture on Instagram. There was only one other comment and all that person could say was "DM?" That's the Instagram version of running up to someone you don't know, telling them to call you and running off. Which would not be all that acceptable.
My comment was simple and complimentary to the model followed with a shot at the previous member which went like this. "Gorgeous as always. And probably not (IGname)" because the guy needed to know that he's not really entitled to her time just because he asked for it. Next comment was from @nutmeg herself thanking and saying I should get a DM for that. And guess what, I did. Had a couple of DMs back and forth she seems very nice. I actually hoped I wasn't wasting her time to be honest. I guess despite my own confidence in myself, there is still a lack of it when it comes to the idea of someone you're a fan of taking a moment to give someone the time of day.
I don't have high expectations from most people on here especially models. Stems back from years of being on the site before the community was huge. Commenting or anything to an SG to never get a response. More than a polite thank for your comment. I am one of only hundreds who try and talk to one of the ladies on here, what's to make me think I deserve a response over anyone else. Much like the IG user, no one owes me or anyone else anything.
I'm just genuinely appreciative when one of the models take that time to say something genuine. I still get a little star struck like when Wendy commented on a blog post of mine. Yeah Fanboyed on that one a little. haha.
