Thank you for the birthday wishes. It means a lot to me. I sure can use a mostly drama-free year. Besides the stuff I've mentioned on SG, there were other draining issues I had to deal with during the past year.
I know I've got a lot of good things going for me in my life. My family, my lady, my health, all wonderful things. I just get tired of the crap sometimes and have to force myself to count my blessings. One new and very positive thing that did happen was my discovering SG. Otherwise, I wouldn't have met wonderful people like yourself.
I managed to post at least a handful of pics of myself and my family from last week. I hope you get a chance to see them. I'll try to post more next week.
I'm glad you were able to shake off the melancholy so quickly. I will say this, that when a person with the poise, competence and intelligence that you have is willing to occasionally show vulnerability - especially with friends - it makes you that much more awesome in my eyes!
